Are the Denon D5000 really worth the money?

D5000 are absolutely wonderful, along with the Denon D2000 are 2 of my favorite headphones that are natural sounding, accurate and with great bass extension. However if you are using the D5000 only for gaming and watching movie I feel it might be an overkill. The D2000 would be cheaper and provide a similar experience (very fantastic!).

Have you checked out the Beyerdynamic DT770? Its another good option.

as close to buying the D5000 which is breaking the bank for me! Will be for movies and some gaming

Heya,

Worth every penny to me. Buy it used.

Alternative, something that sounds kind of similar, and much cheaper, is the AudioTechnica A900X.

Very best,

Yes, they are good headphones for movies/music. Gaming not too much (if accuracy is a must)

get the old versions while you can.

If I already spending money I would rather buy D5000 while still possible but you can try to save money buying used from for sale forum here
