I've just been sent a really helpful set of comparison photo's by dweaver.
It has put my mind at rest. I'm 95% certain that mine are real.
All I need now is confirmation from Sennheiser and then I will be fully satisfied.

Scan are an authorized dealer and the product I have recieved is a genuine Sennheiser product.

No problem, glad they were of help. BTW if your a believer in burnin check out this thread, it is specific to the MTPC but the burnin files can be used with any IEM/heaphone. I suggest starting with the white/pink oriented burnin file but the brown centric one might also prove interesting.
