4 bugs in aptX LEA that are quite annoying

How is it? Can you walk around the entire house staying connected? Do you have wifi mesh? Which wifi standard?

Just curious there's a lot of variables with wifi integration
I have a sole high end or priced WiFi 7 router. Seems to be pretty solid with no drops and disruptions at home. Can not be said the same at work though with a few disconnects and Buds not in sync. But that is the crappy workplace Internet.
How do you like these buds? Do you notice differences between the codecs?
Aptx Lossless from 1.2 to 2.1mbps is a slight increase in clarity l but they cannot compare to XPAN at 4.2mbps. That gives you a true Hi-res Lossless experience you would otherwise get from a wired setup.

Received my Eppfun 3040 Pro Ultra. No frills BUT it does transmit LDAC to my iFi xDSD Gryphon and aptX HD to my Audioengine speakers flawlessly. I don't have any receiving devices with AptX Lossless so can't test that. Overall, very satisfied.

Good to hear that. I've ordered one. I have Stax Spirit S5 with Aptx Lossless and I hope they will work together well.

Sound quality is so subjective and tricky, but gotta ask..... Would you say the there is a good difference in sound improvement over Xpan 4.2mbps compared to say aptx adaptive/lossless?

Sound quality can be subjective depending on how they are tuned. The Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro are great sounding. There are better audiophile tuned TWS out there. The improvement is huge when going to XPAN. Makes my other TWS feel obselete for me. Finally get the advantage of what wired audio has been offering. True Lossless and True Hi-res and no more compromises that Bluetooth had. Full 4.2mbps 24bit/96khz. Using Bluetooth Aptx Lossless 24/48 from 1.2mbps to 2.1mbps, sounds excellent too but on another level on XPAN

That manual is handy to see, it does say there should be the ability to change latency, guessing its the adaptive or LE low latency or game/movie modes, but there is still no software or app on eppfun downloads site here, they did say it was coming but that was 3 months ago, maybe they need a lot more time.

It will be great to know if its built for android or windows. Really do wish they just added a button or switch to flick between high and low latencies, so you have that option at least.

@Zuiner2 should work fine that AK3040Pro ultra on the Stax s5, I have the eppfun LE audio transmitter which I believe is a similar chipset and it works fine on my Stax s5, the only issue you would face with the AK3040pro ultra is the lack of switching to Low latency mode with LE or Aptx adaptive codecs for movie/gaming playback, for high
quality music it will be fine. For £25-30 from aliexpress the eppfun Le audio transmitters still the best room/office desktop type transmitter box with the Stax S5s imo, reviews in my signature.

Awesome good to know and hear, guess things can only improve with software and hardware down the road. Will be interesting to see the bigger audio brands Xpans offerings.

I bought the Eppfun AK3040Pro Ultra from the Eppfun Official Store on AliExpress. The listing claims there's a button and an app, but in reality, there’s neither. There’s no way to switch codecs. Whatever it connects with is what you’re stuck with. It's also unclear whether it supports LE Audio. It doesn’t show up as a USB microphone at all. Overall, it feels like a half-baked product. I really don’t understand why they didn’t include a simple button. The inability to at least switch to a low latency mode makes it unusable for general-purpose use.

Unfortunately, I also made the mistake of buying their Eppfun Cutemeet 818 headset. The bass is maxed out, the treble is nonexistent. It sounds like listening to music through a speaker at the other end of a tunnel.

I’ve been trying to contact them through AliExpress for a few days now. They respond with the same automated message: “Hello friend, may I help you,” and then nothing. Just another company that isn’t worth our time or money.

I bought the KZ XZ10 Bluetooth earhooks from the "KZ Promo Discount Store" on AliExpress. The listing claimed they support LE Audio. I had watched reviews of the AZ20, which uses the same Qualcomm QCC5171 chip, and it had solid mic performance and confirmed LE Audio support. However, it seems the XZ10 does not actually support LE Audio.

I reached out to the store on AliExpress, but they keep giving me BS, saying either my Creative BT-W6 dongle doesn’t support LE Audio or that it’s already running in LE Audio mode. In reality, it’s just a preference setting, and the app clearly shows it’s connected via Classic Bluetooth.

The XZ10 does support AptX LL, and latency is barely noticeable. But I’ve noticed occasional glitches. Sometimes the audio goes out of sync between the earbuds, or there's a brief cutout. Could be an incompatibility with the BT-W6, not sure.

I recommend the FlooGoo FMA120, it has an app, and has aptX Adaptive as well as LE audio support.

Worked absolutely great for me, used it a lot with the WF-1000XM5 buds and the LC3 codec.
