Thank you for the help.

Tried one more time to connect the DG60P to Homatics box. They pair but there is still no sound. The led on DG60P stays blue, I think it should be green if aptx adaptive is working? It is green on my laptop and tablet.

I gave up trying and ordered the Eppfun LE transmitter from aliexpress. Hope it works with the Edifier Stax S3.

I checked that there is a game mode on the Stax S3.

So I need to update the firmware directly when I receive the Eppfun transmitter?

Is there a way to see if the Stax S3 is receiving aptx adaptive codec? Is the blue led blinking whatever codec is in use?

Maybe there is a led on eppfun that shows what codec is in use?

Yeah I had that same issue with no audio, I sometimes had to restart the shield or AM6+ box to sort of jump start the audio. Yeah I think of the top of my head its supposed to be green on the DG60p and making sure the switch is set to gamer mode or low latency. Its just buggy like I was saying so sort of gave up on it.

Yes I recommend updating the firmware asap, see my review here, I have also updated it a little with more details. I had to go through 2 months of exchanging several units and working with eppfun just to get it sorted, so if you want to avoid any headache its best to do it asap.

Yes the eppfun box has full LED lights to show you which BT codec is on and working and it list the codec type by name, so purple light under CODE is aptx adaptive low latency mode which is the right one for movies/games, I tend to leave it on that one 100% of the time and just leave my headphones switched on so the link to the eppfun is maintained, that way I don't have to keep switching codecs or adjusting settings you can read the my updated review to see the issues.
Also when you get the eppfun, the manual is hidden inside the box deep you you may need to check inside properly.

Id imagine Stax S3 and S5s are very similar so hopefully it should be compatible, you could ask eppfun on aliexpress live chat if its compatible. I don't have any coloured lights on my S5s so not sure how it looks on the S3s, but mines just a single white light, but you should be fine since activating game mode on them is setting it to the low latency mode, some companies call it game or Low or Low Latency mode but there all the same thing.

I think overall you should be fine with the eppfun box.

I first got the eppfun AK3040Pro MAX adapter, which worked fine with the FiiO BTR17 when it came to the aptX Adaptive family of codecs.

However, I also wanted to use with the WF-1000XM5 via the LC3 codec, which is not possible, as the eppfun dongle is not compatible with devices which don't use a Qualcomm chipset.

Here comes the FlooGoo FMA120. This one also supports device with a non-Qualcomm chipset, like the WF-1000XM5, and it all works perfectly fine after some updates. The person/team behind it is also very responsive!

Yes, it doesn't have LDAC, but everything else works amazingly!

I received another email from Creative today, they have no idea how to resolve it, so their response is "Please accept our sincere and unreserved apologies for any inconvenience this has caused you."

It's like, yes, we send you a product that isn't functioning correctly—sorry, "If you require further assistance, please reply to this email and we will get back to you.," which is amusing and tragic at once.

Asked eppfun if they have any plans or upcoming transmitters or dongles for Xpan, but they were pretty blunt with their No response.

Ill bug them with the same question after a few weeks, gotta keep on top of these slow companies.

Speaking of Eppfun, I did just order the Eppfun 3040 Pro Ultra transmitter as I want to be able to transmit LDAC and AptX adaptive from my PC to wireless IEM's or iFi Gryphon which I also have incoming. Don't know much about the company but complaints over in the FiiO BT11 thread put me off from that product. I also read that Eppfun will be releasing an app soon which would be nice. Will report back once the 3040 Pro Ultra arrives and I get a chance to test it.

Some behavior I have noticed:
+Change sample rate to 44.1kHz at 24 bit = aptX Lossless displayed in BT setting of Xiaomi phones (Xiaomi 12S Ultra "modded"/14 Ultra/15 Ultra)
+Change sample rate to anything else (default Adaptive/48/96kHz)= aptX Adaptive
+Cant enable aptX Adaptive LE 2.1Mbps at all on 15 Ultra. LE Mode in Xiaomi phone BT settings only show up LC3.
+Enable Wi-fi mode aka XPAN = aptX Adaptive R4 displayed on Xiaomi 15 Ultra. I also seen some screenshot of someone Xiaomi display aptX Adaptive 4.2M so this is strange?
Everything is updated to the latest. I will have to contact Xiaomi for answers.
Xiaomi fixed the issue with aptX Adaptive LE not available on 15 Ultra via a small sw update (Bluetooth framework update). Apparently they using whitelist approach and forgot to put 15 Ultra on the list. Whoops.
The codec naming confusion also fixed now. aptX 4.2M is the definitive name.. If your Xiaomi 15 Ultra displays aptX Adaptive R4 name then it indicate you are running old sw.
As for the quality of Buds 5 Pro itself, it is decent for the price, bit worse than AirPods Pro 2 in both sound and ANC quality.
And Xiaomi said you need to buy proper regional version of Buds 5 Pro if you want to use it with your Xiaomi phone. Xiaomi phone running CN fw = need CN ver of Buds 5 Pro. Same with Global version, need both to be Global for proper behaviour.

If anyone is looking for an Aptx Adaptive dongle for low latency, the Avantree C81 might be perfect. No audio cuts, no lag, sounds as good as the BT-W6 to my ears. I bought the console version, but it also perfectly on PC. (I recomend updating the firmware to the latest one)

EDIT: Forgot to say: there's also no 2-second delay for the sound to kick in, unlike the BT-W6.

The C81-PC is the best transmitter I found for my Bose QC Ultra earbuds, and I tried the BT-W6, the FMA120, and a couple of other Avantree products, and this was after no "full" Bluetooth transmitter was reliable; to be clear, by "best" I mean "the only usable transmitter". OTOH, my Intel AX200/210 PCIe cards work perfectly with my Airpods Max and other headphones, so the Bose are just really picky. I wrote a detailed message about them here:

The C81-PC is still not perfect. As I described in the message, it does this halfway Bluetooth absolute volume thing, but the thing that annoys me most is that playback of the source app starts/resumes when I put both buds back in the case. TBF, I don't really know if that's the C81 or the Bose to blame, but it doesn't happen when the Bose are connected to my iPhone.

Hi. Have anyone tried this device from eppfun? Is it any good?
eppfun Le Audio Aptx Lossless Bluetooth 5.4 Transmitter for TV/PS5, 96K/24bit Wireless Adapter with Encrypted Auracast LC3 Audio (8657 MAX2/AK8657 MAX2)
I think this is another version of the desktop transmitter that was mentioned here before.

O just recently got the Global Xiaomi 15 ultra and CN Buds 5 Pro Wifi. No issues here. I can use Wi-Fi and Aptx Adaptive LE R4 with no issues

I did see this one around and it looks very similar to the eppfun LE BT transmitter, from quick look at the specs its still missing:
-BT codec buttons, LED lights to show what codec in play
-PC usb dac mode
-Antenna
-Mobile battery for portable use
-3 inputs only and lost the co-axial input jack

With out the ability to switch to aptx adaptive low latency or a led to show its even on that, I don't know how it will operate or how its latency performance will be for TV/Game use, it may just go to low latency mode auto like many others do.

It still has the issue of lack of dedicated power input or that usb jack is just the power input so it solves that issue.

Id just get the other one, miles better just update the firmware my review of its posted I think 1-2 pages back or in my signature.

Thanks for the useful information. I do like buttons for sure. I already have one BT transmitter without buttons (BT11) and it isn't good. But most likely not only because buttons.
