Yeah, the 16/44 would only become available again if I switched to regular Aptx. I get so confused with the various non-lossless Adaptive versions. I use the base level of Tidal, so I only get their 16/44 library anyway. Not sure what bitrate that gives me on Adaptive currently, possibly tops out at 420, but it sounds great either way. I'm sure I'd barely notice a thing.aptX Adaptive should be able to do 16/44.1 same as any Codec (not talking Lossless) so not sure why it is greyed out.
24/48 and now 24/96 is "up to", not much good if you are listening to CD rips so you can drop to 16/44.

My T10P 24 bit arrived a couple of weeks ago. No matter what I did, neither Blueberry on Linux Mint 20.3 or Blueman on Mint 21 would recognize it. Running lsusb showed me that it was being detected on the USB bus, however. I was approaching the end of the 15 day return period so finally dug out my old Windows 10 laptop, which immediately detected it. I paired my headphones with no difficulty.
Since I now knew for sure that the hardware was fine, I plugged it back in to my desktop and prepared to post on some Linux forums to try to get it working. Blueman still did not detect it. However, I had not taken the earphones out and seconds later the music I was playing suddenly switched to them! Maybe it was working all along and I never tried actually playing anything through them. I don't think so, but maybe. The other possibility is that it needs to be paired first using a Windows computer.
That was yesterday, and i used it for a few hours with no issues. The computer has not been restarted, but it still seems to be working fine today. I have played around with the settings a bit. I was not aware that it would switch to SBC if the mic is enabled. Not a big deal, but it means the adapter has to be in an easily accessible location in order to change back and forth depending on whether I am using it for meetings or audio. It is amazing but not surprising how much better aptX Adaptive sounds than SBC. I can't do a proper blind A/B test since SBC is much quieter but it is quite obvious, even with almost all of my content being 16/44.1.
It does not seems to sound quite as good as on my Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE, but I have not made any real effort to compare them--that is just an initial impression. Either way, it is good enough that I don't think my wired earphones will be getting much use now, unless only to preserve the more expensive Bluetooth ones, which are not generally known for long lifespans.

Cant read above gives me a sore head, big wall of text no doubt on your phone.
Because why would they? These adapters are USB Audio Class 1, not USB-HCI Bluetooth dongles. No matter what I did, neither Blueberry on Linux Mint 20.3 or Blueman on Mint 21 would recognize it.
You're lucky if it switches to SBC (mSBC, I assume). Standard Bluetooth stuff, happens with all the devices tho. IMHO these dongles should've had small mems mic just for this not to happen.I was not aware that it would switch to SBC if the mic is enabled
Does anyone else get little skips and "grainyness" when using the Creative BT-W5? Seems to happen both with BO Portal's and Sennheiser Momentum 4.
Note: both on PC and PS5.

I paired a T10P dongle with Edifier TWS1 Pro on a Windows 10 and then move that to a Nvidia Shield.
I have a another T10P dongle that's always connected on my PC and that's paired to Edifier Spirit and another TWS1 Pro.
Both Aptx Adaptive setups worked quite well for many weeks.

A guy on Reddit had issues with MTW3+BT-W4.Does anyone else get little skips and "grainyness" when using the Creative BT-W5? Seems to happen both with BO Portal's and Sennheiser Momentum 4.

I did hear the metallic sound at start on occasion with my BT-W4 some reported and then it went away and the same on my new BT-W5.

Doesn't randomly come back when watching movies for example? It keeps coming back and I have to unplug it and plug it back in.A guy on Reddit had issues with MTW3+BT-W4.

I do not really watch movies via ear/headphones, but I listen to music late at night with them for many hours.
I decided to buy the KB8P but I'm having trouble finding the latest english software. This is really weird.

Newer App needs the newer FW's and vice versa.

Yes, but I did not see that mentioned here (or I forgot) so I am mentioning it to hopefully save others from wasting a few hours time like I did.
