Hey guys,
I am new to Headfi and am thinking of purchasing these headphones for portable use.  Was wondering if anyone has these and can tell me a bit more about them.  I am most concerned with clarity, bass, wide soundstage and separation of instruments.  I have the Ultrasones proline 550 but find them too large to carry around -  the sound is brilliant though and sound stage absolutely remarkable.  I was wondering if these sennheisers offer the same type of soundstage??

I haven't heard the HD25 before but A LOT of people have heard them. You should ask in the HD25 appreciation thread. I also have the PRO550 (DJ1 PRO version), and yes, the soundstage is indeed amazing.

thanks alot!    I will check out that thread now then.  Glad you have ultrasones too because I've heard not many people like the S Logic effect - but I find it sounds so natural and seperation of instruments really good especially after a long burn in
