Anyone own both the Beyer T1s and the DT-880s ?

One pair of open box T1s for $949 on Headroom B-stock.  I sure as heck can't afford it.  Go for it if you can.

Not so in my case.  For me, the DT880/600 bettered the T1.  The former will stay; the latter will go.

Whoah !   You are saying you like the 880s better than your T1s ?    That is shocking to me.

Would appreciate if you can elaborate in sonic terms on the differences and why you thought the DT880/600 sounded better than the T1.
 
I am on the verge of purchasing the T1.

I own both DT880 600 Ohm and T1's. I use Woo 6se amp and listen to classical and jazz. I prefer the T1's over the DT880's. I find them more detailed with slightly warmer mid range, and smoother with more air in the treble. I also think they are more balanced overall. The soundstage is also larger with better positioning and separation of the instruments. I hope my opinion helps.
