Anybody making a big headphone purchase this year?

For me, it's been ALO K702, HD650(Black Dragon) and HD600(Cardas). I may well finally try the HD800's for Christmas. I have got to hold out until then or else I'd get something else for Christmas. My birthday is in a couple days so I managed to get past that without any expensive decisions.

Thanks Eddie, I can't believe how amazing it is, can't wait until I get my amp and truly see what it's capable of... I've purchased the amp from China, will the EU adaptor work in England?

already bought D2000, ath esm7, meelec m9p. Hoping/wishing to buy a pair of Grados, either the SR32is, RS2, or RS1. I'm also considering buying a pair of Australian Sheoak cups for my D2000(can you tell I'm a D2000 fanboy

I've already bought a lot of headphone these last 6 months :

- Denon D2000
- Denon D7000
- JVC HX1000
- Senn 650
- Ultrasone Pro900
- AKG 272HD

But I still want more

Today I ordered a ATH-M50 and a Shure 840.

I'm planning as well to buy a Stax system this summer (2050 I guess), and hope, a big thing next winter.
I don't know what, but it could be Stax O2 (or 4070), Audeze LCD2/HE5LE + phonitor.

Actually, I'm not interested to keep a lot of headphones,
but at least one for each of my needs : 1) Movie/game and 2) Music.

So I keep looking for the perfect closed (1) and open (2) headphones

This year so far: JH13, HE5LE (pre-order), HD600, SRH840

Next purchase: T1 or HD800, still trying to decide. After that i'm done. The wallet is taking a beating.

You'll never be done! Muahahahaha! This forum will always eventually gets a hold of you and forces you to buy more audio gear! Resistance is futile!

I'm looking at a DACmagic if I can raise the funds. Other than that, just music and maybe a used k701. My expenses have been kinda out of control, lately...

Tough choice, both are amazing cans and no wrong decisions here. Here are my thoughts on both:

3.5 months later I still feel the exact same way.

Nice IEMs BTW!

I already have the Sennheiser HD600 which I love but I am planning to upgrade to either the Sennheiser HD800 or the Denon AH-D7000. I will be attending Canjam2010 so I will make my decision then but perhaps I will end up getting something completely different.

I bought K701 last month and I plan on getting some higher-end vintage AKG's.

This year should come new flagship from AKG - may be tempting
