I was this close to snatching the Sony R10. I had to settle for the K1000 which is still not a bad deal.

DT48e / 25 ohm - returned.
DT770 - returned, possibly defective.

And yes... they all sound VERY different. And no, it's not necessary to have all these. However, I'm looking for something rather specific in sound reproduction. Also, I think it's important to have at least one closed and one open. I am also finding (much to my chagrin) that different types of music sound better on different cans. I have not found a one-size-fits-all yet.

I just bought a pair of Audio Technica CK10's out of the blue. Still waiting on them to get here. This brings the total up to 4 cans in the last four months. I think I'm pretty much done buying cans this year. I might look into building a Starving Student in a couple months though.

Just bought a Stax 717 amp, so now I'm trying to find some O2 MkI's.
Or maybe a MkII, not sure yet, we'll see what we'll find.
But then I'm done for this year. Maybe a T1 or PS1000 for new year after hearing them, but that's next year isn't it?

Already made some fatty purchases this year. Within the last, eh, month or so, I bought recabled K701s and Pro 750s. Eesh, when I add it up, $700

looks like a lot for headphones (for me). Not done. I really want to become a one-headphone guy. Looking into both the HD600s and the Denon D2000s.

eyeing a Audio-GD DAC-19 with the DSP1 and a Denon D2000 or the T1.

Don't know if I will though.
