Her purk,
I remember quite a long time ago I bought an amp from you. I think it was a Meta42 or a Meier Corda of some sort.
Happy Holidays to you as well purk!
I can't keep up with cable makers these days - my knowledge of headphone cable makers is like a decade old Also, what's the deal with headphone makers charging hundreds for plain OEM cables...
it's so random when I get notifications on this thread...
I have way more disposable income nowadays than 20 years ago when I first got here...and yet I am super happy with some balanced rs-1 and akg k501 that I built 15 years ago and have no desire to see what's out there
oh, it could also be the fact that 95% of my listening is podcasts via airpod pros while running
Really, I’m not sure I qualify for the early Head-Fi club? I was reading here in 2006-2007 then joined in 2008. I have to say my personal sound signature has only changed slightly. But the biggest change (for me) happened around 2016-2017 when I moved from full-size to IEMs.

It is more an age thing. You have to be 50 or older. I bet you are 30 ish. People over 50 begin to have hearing issues. I am 73 and one ear hears better than my other. That is why I have mostly concentrated on IEMs. The DAPS have balance control so I can compensate..
Well, I’ll be 60 in about a month. But I just looked and it seems the first couple of posts were about time spent as a member of Head-Fi? Though it could have changed and become a thread about aged Head-Fi members? Probably doesn’t really matter what the basis of the thread was then?

Seems another new hobby sneaked into the roster since the Feb 2020 check-in: Niche fragrances.
It started during the lockdown. Since I couldn't go anywhere, figured I might as well take a "smellcation" to faraway places in a bottle.
I've since acquired about 350 decants, full bottles, and samples ranging from Acqua di Parma to Zarahoff... addictive and amazing stuff. Most of which isn't available on the shelves of most stores. Which is a shame because most people's idea of cologne starts and ends with Calvin Klein (or somesuch).
Photo of testing a few new arrivals at work. Would recommend everyone at least try Guerlain Vetiver (1962), as it is not only a masterpiece but extremely affordable. Pure class, all the way.
That's interesting; I've never met anyone who hobbies in fragrances. Any chance you can make a cologne that smells like fresh bread? I think that's my favorite smell, followed by leather.
