Any love for the Activo CT10?

A recent purchaser on US Amazon has said that this seriously overheats (like burning hot) when using Tidal to the extent that it shuts down for ten minutes or so. Apparently this is common with Tidal.
This is bad news if it repeats through the range. He's going to keep possible purchasers informed with updates, and iRiver themselves have now responded, so lets see what happens.

Just Tidal as far as I can make out. I believe this is due to the superior MQA sound quality offered by Tidal and the manufactures wish to promote high SQ over 'inferior' streaming services & not heard of any hacks...... so far.
I've yet to discover if MQA is achievable via bluetooth headphones or if you have to use to the wired 3.5mm output.
I'm sure the A & K folk will confirm all as they monitor this thread regularly.

I had a good play with the CT-10 and it sounded fine, but felt like more of a toy to me. All that plastic? No thanks. Ended up with a Sony NW-ZX300.

Just ordered one of these from Amazon. My job doesnt allow us to use our phones while working or even have them at our stations. But they do allow MP3 players so I'm pretty pumped about this thing. The wifi and Tidal streaming is what sealed the deal for me. Plus I look forward to dropping my entire FLAC collection onto it.

Got it in the mail today and was able to score a 128GB card for $20 on a Best Buy sale. In the process of dropping about 80GB worth of FLAC files on it which is taking forever. Haven’t heard a single sound out of it yet.

Annoying isn't it?!? Mine takes it a step further by not allowing anything with a camera in the work area either.

Yep same here. Actually cameras are the main reason we can’t have phones. IP theft is their main concern.
