Any love for the Activo CT10?

Thanks, @JasonNYC -- that's wonderful news! Confirmed support for external storage on Spotify and Tidal through the Open App system, that's great to hear.

One more question: the link you provided also mentioned that there are apps the Open App system doesn't support, and specifically cited Apple Music and Google as examples of non-supported apps in Open App for CT10 -- was this to explicitly state that they cannot or definitely will not ever be supported or simply to note them as notable apps currently not supported?

Spotify and Tidal are the most important to me but I'm considering this a purchase for my brother, who lives on Apple Music currently.

Some apps, including Apple Music, require Google Play services and the Google Play store to be installed on the device for authentication purposes. Since the ACTIVO CT10 does not include the Google Play store, these apps will not work since they cannot authenticate. The apps that can be installed do not have that requirement. If the apps are updated to remove that requirement, we will allow them to be installed on the player.

Thanks, @JasonNYC -- that makes a lot of sense and of course it doesn't make sense for the CT10 to have the Google Play store as performance of the CT10 would take a terrible tumble since it's optimized as a special purpose device and not intended to compete as a smartphone or general purpose device.

Wow this is amazing news! I had no idea there was a deal with LG that was preventing everyone from offline downloading of MQA tracks. Now I know who to be angry at! Time to gather the torches and pitchforks people...

Got my new Activo CT10 today and so far I absolutely love it. It drives both my Senn HD650's and HiFiman HE-4xx nicely. Granted I've got to push the levels in the upper registers but they sound great and the sound quality is just wonderful. Can't believe I'm getting this sound from my HD650's on such a cute little device!

One question however: I can't seem to get Spotify to work in the Open App section. Have installed a couple APK's through it and the app installs fine but won't show anything when the app opens. Basically I get no login page, just black. Anybody else with the device seeing the same issue?

UPDATE: Tried a couple more past versions of the APK and it looks like version v8.4.81.558 works. I was able to get it up and running fine.

That's astounding, given the power specs on this player. I wouldn't expect it to drive the HE-4XX well at all. What is the max volume on the CT10 and what level are you using with the HE-4XX?

I'm strongly considering this but wish it had about twice the power at least.
