Looking forward to charging this and installing TIDAL for some MQA action.

Hi folks,

I'm probably going to buy one of these as they've just turned up in UK stores. I'm running Shure se845 and Focal Elears and wanting to better iphone 6s output. Looks like this will stack well with a Vorzamp Pure 2+ which I've also got my eye on buying. Vorzamp almost the same size and weight as Activo...

Question on micro SD card- I did a lot of photography so I always bought the fastest cards. But there's a big price difference and I don't want to waste money on a card too fast for the reader. Anyone know max necessary/recommended micro SD spec speed? @JasonNYC

Higher write should help putting music on, higher read- probably best for daps https://havecamerawilltravel.com/photographer/fastest-microsd-cards/

Also- with DLNA and Tidal could Roon be supported on this device in the future?
Finally- just to be a proper cheeky monkey- BBC iPlayer Radio app, that would basically straight kill my iphone :)
Cheers

I can try and load the BBC app to our demo unit if you like? I think there is only 1 left in UK stock until later in February. These went fast. Ha ha

Yeah? Cool. Long shot but I download Huey, Gilles and Iggys sets, so if I can have them running full quality on a dap- that's amazing.

Annoyingly it isnt recognising the app when i try installing it sorry.
Not to worry- thanks for trying Phil, much appreciated. Certainly not a deal breaker- just would have been a nice little perk. Any word on cases for this device folks? I know there's one for sale on Amazon but pretty sure it says fake leather which I'm not personally into- plus someone says that one gets in the way of some of the finger swipe gestures. Wonder if someone knows something that would hold this and a Vorzamp in a stack. Also, maybe with it being plastic the RFI/EMI shielding might be a bit weaker so, might need a layer between.

I’m a stacker by inclination, and only recently sold my beloved Headstage Arrow 5, and still have a ALO Continental v2, which I’ve trialled with the CT10 already- it sounds nice - but I must say overall I don’t think you need to bother with amping this little player (unless you’re using v high impedance cans) on the go... it really does sound sweet; rich, spacious and, well, well-amped. WAY better than my old fiio and substantially better than my pioneer xdp300r. As such , and only in the interests of saving you palaver, you might be able to drop the external amp idea. Unless you love the external amp idea, which I totally get!

Perfect @jhog I'm totally with you nice one. Yes I love "the idea" of an external amp for the Shure se846 being crazy low impedance and for the Focal Elear, but that's only 80ohm, which isn't crazy high. I wanted to keep the iphone 6s in the first place to keep things simple, but it's not quite up to it. More simple the better because as we all know, things can get carried away super quickly. Thanks for the advice and I'll just wait and see how it sounds straight out of the amp. I know early on in the thread someone says it drove their Utopia well which are also 80ohm, which seems unlikely but, if it can drive the se846 without hiss and sound sweet then- I'm sold.

It sounds amazing on its own into a 1199gbp pair of hard to drive planar in ears.

Jason, any report from the dev team on Audible/Pocketcasts?
Still being tested. There is a new firmware that is being prepped for release this month that will add Deezer and DS Audio app support, but I don't think Audible or Pocketcasts will make that update unfortunately. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are a holiday in Korea and our offices are closed. I will check status with our team when they are back in the office on Thursday.

Standard speed microSD cards are fine. No need to spend the money on faster cards since the players are just mainly reading and not doing any writing, which is where you would want the faster speeds.

Roon support is being looked into. No definite plan or ETA on bringing it to the CT10 at the moment.

No BBC Radio app support, but I will pass the request onto our software team for testing and possible inclusion in the future.
