Per comment from Shanling on Kickstarter:
  • MTouch system now supports import and export of m3u playlists. If you have standard m3u playlist created by any of the wide range of programs, you can simply copy it onto dedicated folder in MicroSD card and then import it into the MTouch.

Current build of MTouch supports both m3u playlists in folder browsing and you can also import them into the system.

Thanks for the replies!

It seems like the same functionality as in the Hiby OS players (although presumably it works correctly and does not add a spurious undeletable 0 playlist). If you're a playlist user (as I am), the folder navigation and playlist support are probably going to be much more important than the database mode. Nobody has created a good auto-DJ function since the Rio Karma, so curated playlists are my jam!

In comparision to UP4, what sounds better? I've heard that Q1 have the best implementation of ES9218P DAC.

UP4 has slight benefit when used in balanced mode.

But otherwise they are so different devices, that I would strongly recommend to pick it based on the user case, not just difference in sound.

ok i'm excited but i don't see it yet in Amazon

I think our backers on Kickstarter would be quite unhappy if the Q1 would show up on Amazon before their get their first units.

We will firstly fulfill all Q1 that were pledged for at Kickstarter. Only after that we will start sending them to distributors. So availability on Amazon will be delayed and of course will depend on your local distributor(if they order and when).

The Q1 seems rather great.

I presume the Q1 has a sleep timer. Does the sleep timer stay enabled, or do you have to re-set it every time?

Also, when resuming, does it resume from the last location in the last track listened to?

I fall asleep using the sleep timer (45 minutes), but often wake up in the middle of the night and then I want to do the following:

(a) press a button to resume and get the music playing again (from the the last position of the last track)

(b) go into sleep mode again after 45 minutes

Thanks!

It has sleep timer, but it needs to be enabled every single time.
Playback resumes at exact location.

Thanks. Any chance of a future firmware update to allow the user to determine whether or not the sleep timer needs to be re-enabled?

Can't wait for my green one...) I think, first update of functionality need to be a HibyLink-like app for Android/iOs devices.
M3U playlists are great too - on my Sandisk Clip Zip it was very needful thing.
I hope, shipping would be fast)

It's like this from beginning of our system, I can't promise any change to this.

We will try to have them sorted and shipped right when we get back to office. But with current situation in China, nothing is certain.
