I am planning on getting a x3 soon but am doing my homework first. The headphones I currently have and will be using are: Shure se530 iem, Grado SR 80 , Son
hy MDR-V6 and Loss Portapros. This is my current list. In the future there will be others.
I think I have chosen a quality source. Given the phones I have listed, do I really need an amp? Will the x3 really be noticeable over the Sony nwz s639f that I currently use?
I am not looking for the most expensive portable amp on the planet. What I am looking for is an amp that will drive pretty much any headphone and make the ones I currently own sound better. Budget is a concern but I am more interested in quality.
