Am I so bad in identifying sound quality?

EX500/510's are really good though! Better in almost all aspects except for the slam you in da face bass than the Turbines have.

I see, but I'm not a big fan of bass. So I recently upgraded my Turbines to the Westone 4Rs. But my favourite bass IMO is the ATH-SQ5, controlled, accurate impact and almost non-existent bass!

Well for a non bass lover, the westone or pfe's are by far the best I've heard.
Bass wise I'll never consider a ba driver bassy or close enough to what i hear on the tfta's

Shures too... right? Well, I do consider the Klipsch X10s to be a little bassy for me. But then again, they are one of the bassiest BAs

Last time i heard them, they sounded like a thin foiled earphone.
Tried different tips too, they just lacked in the bass department.
 
 
And shure's yes -> the Se535's weren't bassy, punchy-esk, but nothing more. Nothing that my EX500's which were 1/5th of their price could not do.
In other words their bass wasn't beaten by my EX500's, if anything my EX500's were bassier.
 
I returned them straight away -> se535's

Well, they do sound a tad bassy on some songs. I only tried the medium and large Klipsch oval tips. The SE535s have really good mids though, I also tried the SE535 red and it has more extension in the highs, a wider soundstage and possibly more detail, the bass is not even as much as the Westone 4 and SE530 though. But they do have quite a bit of emotion.

Se535's have the best mid/high presentation for some - for me I found them a little TOO forward, and a ludicrous price tag - which simply wasn't worth it in my eyes (£285 for a B-Grade)
 
Lond story short, PFE 112's provided a little toned down version of the se535's for about half the price.
 
if you want mids and highs ONLY, and don't really want bass- PFE 112 are the way to go - and if u got cash to splash i'm sure the 232's won't disappoint either
I was really impressed with Audéo, just not for me, that's it.

Well, I do agree that their price is above the market, however their mids are pretty hard to beat. I do like a more forward mids though. I see, I have saw some good reviews on the PFE 232, however, Audeo Phonak is a little hard to obtain here. They seem to be more mid and high centric

I'm in Singapore. I can get it here, just that when I asked to try the PFE232 from a shop named Jaben, they said it was out of stock, also I asked about the Ortofon EQ5, but they said it was out of stock even after I asked months later, so I'm just not sure when stocks can arrive. But since I just got the Westone 4R, trying hard to recover from the big hole in my wallet, so would have to wait for a while till I can buy some substitutes.

Have you tried Hifimans IEMs? I found the RE-262 to be very mid centric, although the highs were a bit too recessed for my taste. I quite like bright highs.

I actually just got them a couple days ago and first impressions are that yes, mids are very forward. They are extremely intimate and lush, but the bass was lacking for me as I usually prefer the other end of the spectrum than you. I still think they sound great though and the packaging with the nice little box was very nice.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I prefer bass AND treble. More correctly: V-shaped sound signatures are more my style. The 262:s are anything but V-shaped.
 
But yes, very lush and intimate. The bass will become (a little) better as you either get used to it or the diaphragm loosens up a little (depending on your stance on burn in, I guess). Though, they are no bass monster by any means, and the bass was lacking for me as well, even after burn in.. However, I agree that the little box was very nice indeed and that they sound great. I can imagine if mids is what someones looking, then they have a hard time finding better performance/price than the RE-262 (granted, I haven't heard the 1xx-series from Audeo). As for me, I quite like the IE80. The bass is not lacking and the highs are pretty damned good despite being a bit laidback.
