I'd agree that music is better at night.

And I suppose it could be Darwinian.

Those that don't/didn't hear better at night, got eaten by the bears. So the only folks left are those that hear/heard better at night and hence could escape all those voracious stealthy night creatures.

Hmmm... maybe that's why I was afraid to look under the bed when I was a 4 year old...
