I've had a pair of K401's kicking around for a while. There are some aspects that I absolutely adore; the soundstage, the mids, and the comfort. But, lately I've been bumming on the lack of bass. What bass is there is nice and articulate, I just wish it had more punch.
Does anyone know of any mods that might help? I've spent a fair amount of time searching the archives and have come up empty handed.
With these cans the sources used are 1) iPod -> AMB mini^3 for bedside listening, and 2) Aikido-> ASL MG head OTL for serisous listening.
Oh, and recently there was a mishap with a vacuum cleaner and the cord so they got re-terminated a lot shorter. As a result they haven't been spending much time on the big rig. A re-cable will probably be 1st order. As long as I'm going in I would like to do any modding at the same time.
Any thoughts are welcome,
