Neither.  The pair I am using now is about 2 years old has a lot of scratches and the cable is a bit worn from daily use.

fair enough i guess but you might be able to get the cable replaced for a lot less money

I would recommend the K812. It's like a SUPER K3003:atsmile:

if it was then i would have bought it by now

K812 is a full-sized headphone. I am looking to find a second pair of IEM that is just as good and just as portable as the K3003.

Thanks for the suggestion though.

Re the Noble K10, it is a very warm, very detailed CIEM with a touch of bass bloom. It is not neutral nor is it anywhere near it in tuning. That said, I really like it. Next to the Noble 4c and Rhine Audio Stage 4, I would choose the K10.

I figured that, I had to do a plug for my K812. Haha

Anyway, good luck in your search. And thanks for your brief impressions of the K10. I'm becoming less and less interested. It is much brighter than the Roxanne's though right?

Sorry, I don't have a Roxanne to answer your question, sir.  However, the K10 is very likable.  It's just not neutral.

Of topic and just my opinion ...

I know, it's maybe wrong, but I think the sound with the white grids (Treble boost) is outstanding and overall the best of the 3 possibilities. In combination with the FiiO X5 they play gorgeous. The grey "Reference grids" are a step backwards for my ears.

I kinda miss the K3003i, too bad I was paranoid about the non-detachable cable.

I actually owned them, sold them. Got SE846, then got IE800. Sold the Shures, got K3003i's again. And ultimately kept the IE800's over the AKG haha.

Guess what, now I'm selling my IE800s

I also use the 'white' filter as I prefer to shape the sound by eq anyway. I kinda envy you people who can bear the hi-mids excess the 3003 exhibit.

Maybe, it's because i'm older.

not tried the treble boost filter but wouldn't want to tilt the treble up more than what i'm hearing from the reference filter

Me either.
I find the treble just perfect on the reference, but I can't imagine having more.  That said, given the price tag, I probably should at least try out all the features!

Using the white high boost grids ...

In my ears, it sounds not really like even more treble, it is only more open, with a better soundstage and the better room impression and last not least without the little bit nervous mids, which sounds sometimes a bit like a trumpet. Of course, it is only a bit, but i like it therefor.
