Are these any good for metal??

If they're anything like the K271MkII or the K172HD (I've heard both) then they completely lack bass. Wouldn't go that way for metal.

They are not bass head phones for sure but I wouldn't call their bass "lacking" esp. when properly amped. They sound pretty anemic underpowered.

The K172HD had less bass than the K271, but even still the K271 sounded pretty bass-light to me. I ran them through the Fiio e10, maybe that explains it.
