New Head-Fier
Hi everyone,
Love this community, opinions please!?
Trying to decide between a new Astell and Kern SR15 or a second hand other model, some great deals to be had. But like the fast and intuitive interface on the SR15, but want as much storage as possible, and Dual DAC balanced output.
Will be driving a set of Custom JH Lola’s With stock cable (open to suggestions for third party cables though, can of worms I’m peaking in to not sure where to start)
Listening to mainly country, bluegrass, classic rock, scores and soundtracks, some opera.
Favourite listens if helpful in recommendations.
Alison Krauss - Live in Paris
Chris Stapleton - Traveller
Fleetwood Mac - Rumours/Tusk
Led Zep - Mothership Remastered
Howard Shore
Sarah Jane Morris
Stereophonics
Choral music - Iona community
Cornish sea shanties (it’s a side hobby, comes with Pilot Gig rowing)
Love shimmering soaring slide guitar, articulate mandolin and banjo and tight upright bass. For Rock love a bluesy lead tone, guitars that bite and dig in.
Many thanks!
Rob
