Well I did say that they are "basic studio headphones". I didn't say they were top of the line from Sony. I' am just saying that these are standard affordable basic studio headphones. I just wanted to know how many people use these in there studio that's all.

Sony did say that these are very basic headphones for studio use and if you want better sound then get the higher end models.

Must you get Sony? Seriously, if you're using these in your studio, these will be your weak link. We're trying to help you. This. or This. or This. Or honestly, anything else. My K271's were only $60 and make the V150's sound like garbage for studio use.

The thing is though, they are basic "bad" headphones. You can get a better pair for cheap. For a little more, say one more twenty dollar bill, you can get a world of difference.

They didn't say it was bad they just said that the V150 is basic studio headphones. They didn't say it's a basic full sized headphones. Studio headphones are more higher end than normal headphones since they will be used in a studio. They did say you can use them in a studio since they are designed as a studio monitor headphones. They also said it's a entry level studio headphones so they are considered as studio monitors.

But why do you guys say Sony is soo bad for a $20 studio headphones? I mean Sony is a good brand and I just don't know why would you think they make bad stuff. If these are not made for studio use they would not make these and say that they are studio headphones. They would say that they are full sized stereo headphones.

If I had gotten the V300 of cource they are going to sound better but the V150 are still studio headphones just not as advance as the higher end models.

^^^ .... i will sum it up for you. Theyre design basic. quality is pretty minimal. Basic would mean you could hear the whole spectrum of frequencies to a extent but with these i can't so they are Below basic.  they put the studio monitor tag to make you buy themm.

I get you. These are the bottom of the line of what YOU call studio monitors sure i can call anything studio monitors but these are the bottom of the line of any studio monitor.

What...? And because the Sony of late is hit or miss. Their XB series is decent, their Z1000 is supposedly great, the 7506/9 is good. Their lower tier (<$50) is mainly made to maximize profits and using the least amount of R&D as possible so they use basic (bad) drivers and enclosures.

And no, studio is a friggin marketing term.

Get this through your head. Sony is a company. What do companies aim for? Money. The V150 and V300 are garbage for the money you pay for them, and they don't care because people buy them knowing that there are people like you that buys them because they are Sony.

They did really say that these are studio headphones and is designed for studio use. First of all don't compair them to there higher end models that cost more since this is the lowest price studio headphones Sony sells. But they are still from bottom up made to be used as monitors. They do meet the sound quality of studio monitor headphones but they aren't the top of the line since Sony sells higher end models that sound better.

So I don't know where did you get that word from but that's not me. Or maybe the troll you are saying means different and it's not a bad thing. I don't know. I just dont hear too much about the word troll.

No. They sound the exact opposite of what they're supposed to. Monitors are meant to be flat. these are anything but.

Well I still need to know how many people use these headphones for there home studio. I just find it hard to beleve that no one uses them even they are studio headphones.

So you are saying they don't sound flat at all? But maybe they are good for certain types of music. Like some headphones are made for rock music and some are for rap etc. These could be used for certain types of music when recording. They should be flat though.
