New Head-Fier
Hi All,
Posting here for some advice as I'm seeing reviews all over the show on the Hiby W3 ii Bluetooth portable DAC.
Most of the reviews I am seeing are using IEMS and or not really talking about using it with any sort of over ear headphone, so I thought I'd come direct.
Essentially I've a bunch of 70's/80's headphones from Japan (Pioneer SE-L40,401,L40A, L20, SE-505, SE-25, and others similar by Hitachi Lo-D 7, S9 some of them being 8ohm's would this amp be ok??
My use case is, walking around the town centre, walking to work and back etc.. nothing taxing and I've seen this a slow as £31 on the Aliexpress store of theirs, which I think is a steal, and thinking on the price between this the BTR5 and or the Muse HIFI M4, the price on this one is swaying me so much!
I'm not looking for the highest of high end or anything mind blowing, but enough to be able to use these headphones I own without having to use USB C dongles like the apple one or generic ones in my local shops that keep breaking so easily with the vintage cans I use, specially since the headphones I have all use 6.35mm jacks so I have to add a chunky 6.35m to 3.5mm adapter, the weight of the cables and jack+adapter really strain the USB C dongle, and I'd like something as a step up so I can just pull out my phone as I'm walking, switch tracks, do whatever without fear of breaking the dongle or having it pull and ruin my phones USB C port.
I don't have much to spend either, like tops would be £100 but the lower the price the better for me I just need something that works ok ya know.
So TLDR, Will the Hiby W3 ii be ok enough to power Vintage 70's/80's cans or no?
