Admit it, you love the DT770

I love my DT770! It's my "travel" full-size can of choice. When I reach my destination and want hear something on a full-size can, it's always ready to go! Why do I choose this one? Generally, when I travel and listen to my cans while not working, I'm in the mood to party... and these are my "club" cans. The emphasized bass of these gives certain pieces of my collection a very unique feel. I also like to take these when I travel because they are built like tanks... absolutely indestructible... ok, may not absolutely, but you get the gist....

anyone know where to get the 80ohm DT770 pro?

Not the black version, with the "beyerdynamic" in white writing across the middle but the gray ones...

The grey ones are the consumer edition 2005 version. And they are 250 ohm.

I thought that you don't like the conventional PRO/80 model. That in the link is the new model that is gray and not black with write letters...
In other hand there is not a 80 ohm 2005 ed. Only 32, 250 and 600 ohm. The 32 & 600 ohm via manufacture...

From what I've gathered, the D2000 is pretty popular here. On the contrary, the DT770 is not. I'm really curious about the differences that set these two cans apart, given that they both are closed-back and have heavy bass.

Anyone have any insight on this?

Depends on what you want. A closed (DT770) or an open (DT880) headphone
And to what kind of music you listen.
The DT 880 is more refined, detailed and hifish. But has lesser bass. Some prefer them for acoustic music, classical music and jazz. But they seems to go along with pop as well.
DT770 is rugged, with lots of bass and oomph. Not very detailed. Great for rock and pop.

X2. 80 ohms I'm talking then. Worst heaphone I've ever heard, well except for the Sony V700 and maybe even HFI780

Why do people come into appreciation threads just to say “your headphones suck”?

You're excused...

This party is for dt770 lovers

The well balanced, analytical and boring convention is that way -->
