Yeah, that's normal for Asius Tech.
I've pretty much given up on the Drum's ever seeing any daylight.

So, all the backers for their campaign will be just out of their money?
I wonder what will be Indigogo's position on this issue.

I should chime in here as I was actually in Denver recently and almost got to go visit the Asius labs and meet Dr. Ambrose. (Didn't work out because of tight scheduling on my part).

But, I made contact simply by using the contact form on their site: https://asiustechnologies.com (then click Contact from the top menu).

Here's the hours/phone/fax/email info:

M-F 9AM-9PM MST
T: 720-204-2676
F: 866-840-3864
info@asiustechnologies.com

I wrote to them to express my interest but also my confusion, as their current Store still lists what appears to be the 1st-gen model, and there was a big blog update from Dr. Ambrose himself in March about all the advancements they had made, and that shipping would commence in April... (Not sure if they actually did commence in April, but that's what he was anticipating in March).

Anyway, I think everyone would agree that they should have been better with communication and updates, but if you're still interested enough (and/or concerned/frustrated), I would encourage you to reach out to them directly. They actually invited me to go visit their labs and try out the tech for myself, and even though I wasn't able to make it that day, they were still very friendly and responsive and made attempts to address my questions and concerns. They even offered to set up a Skype session if I wanted a more personalized info session.

So... Do with that what you will. Here's hoping they can catch up with demand!

I have had contact with mr. Ambrose and Lebischak back in the day. I was even promised a review/test sample.
I've expressed my feelings about the lack of communication. The only thing changed in the meantime is that Steve Keeley left Asius and there now for sure isn't any communication, not even via Head-Fi.

The thing is that they know they are way past due and I think everybody in the campaign has been very supportive and patient. The group is not asking for the IEMs to be shipped now, people is just asking for a status, for communication even just out of respect to their backers. I don't think that is much to ask and should be a normal customer service practice for any business regardless of the industry.

Well, I am asking for the IEM's to be shipped now. Per their last update on July 17 (almost 90 days ago), "While we held off updating our backers until we had definitive proof points of progress we are now ready to begin production and start to fill orders.

So either ship them, or tell me what went wrong and how much longer I have to wait.

Their original Kickstarter (with another partner) was promised in May 2015 and delivered in Dec 2015 (about 236 days late)

Their Indiegogo was promised in Feb 2017 and is now about 250 days late.

Their indiegogo campaign only has about 250 backers, compared to almost 500 for the Kickstarter.1.

Perghaps I am too familiar with delay of crowd funding campaigns. I have pledged more than 20 campaigns. This kind of situation has often occured on most of them.

I've backed multiple projects, only one delivered on time. But on all those projects, there was communication. With this campaign, they ignore you for months and then all of a sudden, they come up with an vague update which if you pay attention sounds more like an advertisement with little substance of things people care such as what is the status of the project, where they stand. Instead they claim that they are technically on the drum 2.0 project without ever having produced a first generation item. Also, on this campaign they offered several perks, some costing well over $500 and to date there has been no mention whatsoever about those items. They've only shown computer drawings and they said months ago that they would begin production, yet we have yet to see an actual working model or hear that at least one backer has already received their perk.

I emailed them asking if they are available to purchase from their website and they said "We are taking orders for the Drum 11 but we are not shipping them until we fill the Drum 10 orders. If you Order the Drum 11 you will lock in the price and your place in line.":triportsad:

Is the Drum 10 the one from the Indigogo campaign?

Both 10 and 11 are offered for the indiegogo campaign. The Drum 10 is a 10mm DD, the 11 I believe is the Cardas A8, 11mm DD. Then there is the TOTL version which they say is a (1-DD + 2 BAs) version which I believe contains the 11mm DD found on the Cardas A8.
