I must say there's quite an ACS T2 user gathering here

Indeed, a very nice and thorough review milkpowder. I'm glad you like your T2's.

Thanks root. You were the initial driving force behind my purchase

BTW, has anyone tried shaving (with an electric shaver) or drinking carbonated mineral water whilst having their IEMs on? You hear quite a cool sound

On the sad day that my Sensas die, at least I know what will replace them.

I'm guessing you haven't had to send yours back yet? How long have you had your Sensas? I'm just trying to gauge how long these things last. The general consensus is around 2-4 years, but even two years is a very long time!

Edit: Added/edited/improved original post.

What a great review, thanks..!

Are you adding an "amped section" to it sooner or later?

I don't want to add an amp because I'd like my rig to remain fairly portable. I have auditioned the SM-IV-LE with the T2 and the results weren't that positive. If I can dig up my impressions, I'll update that section.

EDIT: btw, thanks

Hows the hiss with the ipod?

Right, added the amplification notes and corrected some of the formatting.

Re: Hiss
It's actually not that bad, ie not causing any problems.

The T2s are great. One can only hope that ACS come up with an upgrade sooner or later. A three-way, triple-driver custom would be very nice. *wishful thinking*

What mini-mini cable did you use btw. the supermacro/iPod?

LOL

I didn't use a line-out dock, which probably skewed the results. I used a RnB Audio Sky Blue Mini V3 mini-to-mini. I would be interested in a Tomahawk if I wasn't already satisfied with how the T2 sound already. All my resources are being poured into the desktop rig instead.

Ah, right. Garbage in, garbage out.

When you audition the Tomahawk, it would be nice to get one, as the iPod's headphone out is less than stellar.

Would be nice to mention that in the review. Maybe you have, but I only read the new part as I read your fantastic review of the customs a while ago. (Still looking for distributors in .nl.)

I used to have a Hornet, then had it M-modded. I must say the Hornets were more neutral sounding. I did have an ALO Silver Six Shooter LE though...

Many thanks for an excellent review. I've been considering customs for a while and to be honest your review got me into ordering T2. When I receive it I'll write here my impressions

Excellent photos by the way, especially the one with iPod
