ACS Encore Studio New 5 Driver CIEM!

So, I've been not enthralled with my Encores, mostly listen through a Pono. Tonight I tried using the Pono into a Liquid Carbon. Much better, highs no longer rolled off. Tried a DX90, also much better. Some sort of mismatch? (Love my Pono with most headphones, though I found it didn't mate week with my Etymotic ER-4 either)

I told you it's an impedance problem as the Pono has a high impedance output.

Hi guys, my ACS Encore were broken due to moisture, even I used regularly the ACS Revivo... Hence I sent them to Piotr from Custom Art in Poland and he remold them in acrylic filled with silicon, added a 2 pins connector. The result is just much more better than ACS did with that awfull T2 connector. Piotr told me too that acrylic filled with silicon is better than only silicon to prevent moisture in filters and drivers, that's why I'm gone with that solution and after 2 month of daily use I can say that's dreamly. Fit is perfect, comfort awesome and the sound remains the same. I wanted to share that with you, for 200€ it's an upgrade I don't regret after my misfortune with ACS manufacturing quality ! Great job @piotrus-g !!!

I would guess you needed to get ear molds made again. I've pretty much stopped using the Encore, enjoying my Westone W40 with balanced Trinity cable or of my Pono.

Nothing at all with my ear molds as I had a great seal and fit and sincerely that's not my first custom iem, ACS are just the worst maker I've met.

How did they break from moisture?

And I notice that you have the se5ult too. Do you notice the same thing?

Filters don't help to avoid moisture between them and drivers. I don't notice that kind of problem with my SE5Ult or with my previous H8pro as they are filter less.

Any hiss ? I'm staying with the Fiio M3 amplified with a Pico Slim, it offers a very enjoyable sound with the ACS Encore.

Pono never worked well, should try my DX90 (generally moved to the Pono all the time).
