MOTE="lyrean, post: 13688520, member: 392604"]Well thanks anyway. I decided to order Yincrow X6's as I don't like the J-cord and the build quality is supposed to be better in these than in Vido's.[/QUOTE]

Vido with mic does have a Y cord.

@lyrean, for £3 it's worth adding the Vido as a spare, to compare / contrast. The J cable isn't a deal-breaker for me, it has a nice retro aspect haha. Then if you're like me you'll have to add something else to get the discounts/coupons if it's over about £15. And then suddenly the addiction starts...

Anyway, whichever you get, enjoy :)

Just ordered an 'upgrade version' of the Seahf 32, the Seahf 64, and a spare Vido (cos why not)

It'd be nice if you had the option to buy the vido with an upgraded cable or DIY version in a different housing also.

Of all the diy earbuds on aliexpress the vido is just stock lol

I got the EMX500 and the Headroom MS16 (which was recommended on AudioBudget). When it comes to sound quality, the EMX500 does everything better. Fuller, more natural sound and better clarity. I love the bass! But the MS16 is definetly more comfortable.

Now, I'm interested in the NICEHCK PK2. Would it be a upgrade to the EMX500?

Exactly what I'm wondering as I have the DIY PK2 on order but am tempted by the EMX500.

Anyone with both care to share their opinion? :)

Yes, Vido is so inexpensive that you can order them for spare (I may also but not right now :)). I also ordered Musicmaker MrZ Tomahawks for orchestral music.

For. Metal you cant go wrong with any 32 TY. They have the crunch and speedy pedal. I personally enjoy them with my ty32 or 320ohm (not budget). However lately found out my ty 32 have rattling driver. Man. It's been almost a year I think. Maybe i should try one of those new batch of AWK.

Anybody have both ty 32 and newer AWK to compare.?

someone (in FB group) open up and review that yincrow x6 have the same vido driver and sound exactly the same. Better cable and plug. But of course its pricier. But still budget.

As mentioned already, you can get the mic'd cable version which is a y-cable (not j-cable).

You guys referring to NiceHCK PK2 right? It's not an upgrade from EMX500. Totally different sound signatures.

EMX500 has better bass and soundstage while NiceHCK PK2 has better mids and is neutral across the board.
They complement each other.
There goes another €8 lol

When I started into this crazy head-fi thing 5 years ago, it was "there goes another $100" with more often than not, somewhat disappointing results.

Now it's "there goes another $10" with a good chance of me being blown away with the results, and if not, no huge deal.

I like this sport a lot more nowadays!
