Hey guys,

I am the happy owner of a pair of Sennheiser IE80s but I can't seem to get them to fit really well.

This isn't a problem with the Sennys, I have had this with my Denon and Klipsch earbuds too.

I am using the large foam tips and for a few minutes the Sennys fit well and the sound is revealed in all its glory but, inevitably, the tips start slipping out and within a few minutes I need to readjust them. This is taking away from my enjoyment.

So, what should I do?

Try different tips (this doesn't seem to work), clean my ears out, buy third party tips?

Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

The oam tips tend to increase after little while and create tight seal so you may try sicon tips of Sony , UE, Shure or buy some other IEMs like UE TF10Pro, JVC FXZ series, Westone 3 which don't sit deep in the ears and they stay in outer ears, they also offers great soundquality if compare with IE80.

Usually when I get a new IEM it takes several different tips to get a fit, sometimes the stock work, other times not. Unfortunately IE80 are known for fit problems, so this is a case of trial and error. if you read the IE80 impressions thread many members have had to try alternatives, some simply gave up all together because they couldn't get them to work.

I understand how frustrating it is trying to achieve a seal that stays put, I am dealing with that issue now, the best thing you can do is try third party tips and hope one suits you. Luckily for me over time I have accumulated several different tips so something in my arsenal usually works, but for those who don't it can be a nightmare. Have a look on eBay and check some options. I will give you three that may help get you started, they're cheap and all work well for me.

Also, ask in the IE80 thread what members are using and works for them, I have seen some people simply give up and sell IE80 though because of fitting problems.
