ordered Hippo VB and Monster Turbines from recommendations here
 
put them in my ears... didn't fit... made 10 minutes run to radioshack, bought comply t-400s, came back, put them in, turned the volume up on a song... was like "ok ok this is pretty good" and then the bass turned on in the song........... WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
 
yes I started laughing, cheesing, and a tear literally came to my eye

Which one do you like better? You know as a member of HF it's your duty to share some comparisons....

but it was the Turbines... first time using any nice headphones. I like them a lot. I haven't gotten the Hippos in the mail yet, so I can't compare
 
sorry I can't really do a real review, I don't know any correct terms or how to describe what I'm hearing. The low low bass on the turbines sounds amazing (BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR) (bom bom) (BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR)
