I haven't listened to a 3-hole, "1952" Sylvania "Bad Boy" in years. So I popped one in along with a pair of Tung-Sol 6AS7G (6520) and an RFT Z2c. And yes, is sounds mighty fine. :)

One of my favorite 6SN7s!

Some tubes coming my way soon,
Toshiba 6SN7GT : https://www.ebay.com/itm/356705352353

and Chatham 6336A's : https://www.ebay.com/itm/156848811578

The 6336A purchase was not planned but when I saw them pop up, immediately I thought "just get them". Hopefully the best $94 I'll spend on tubes for the glenn.

Oh man the 6336A from Chatham are BRILLIANT. They run super hot though, from what I saw. Sadly my set is not matched, and it had a horrible left channel drone. Hope you love yours!

And in case you don't, I'll happily buy them off you :D

And there is the 6528A, also from Chatham. Whereas, the Amplification Factor for the 6336 is 2.7, the AF for the 6528 about 7.0 which might be useful when using low-Z and/or inefficient headphones. Otherwise, these two tubes are about the same, with 5amp heaters.

The 6528 sounds very good in Eufonika H5M/KPCU using external heater psu.
But it cost me 5 USD + almost that much in shipping...

WOW this Toshiba 6sn7gt is a workhorse! Very natural sound with lots of grip and finesse. Non-fatiguing and excellent soundstage presentation. I feel like a broken record describing tube sound at this point but this tube just doesn't have anything wrong about it, so it has everything right about it!! Dead quiet too in the Glenn.

Am I wrong in thinking that this Toshiba 6sn7GT looks very similar to a 6J5GT? Like two of their plates put in one tube; even the getter position/shape looks identical.

I've been listening to my Glenn all day with this tube haha, time for a break.

The 6336A should work on an old 4 socket GOTL right? I tried a non matched pair a while back, and they ran ultra hot, and the left channel had a horrible drone. I'm guessing the drone is due to the non-match, but just making sure that these tubes can work

My understanding is that you realy have to have a Glenn with SS rectification + Lundal transformer to be ideal with 6336A. No idea about the older Glenns.
Would love to get confirmation on this one. If a 6080 / 6as7 are the best I can do, then i'll look there instead.
