You may want to check with some hearing aid shops or online.  Some sell ear lube to be used with bigger hearing aids.  That helps the insertion of my custom tips on the u12.

Thanks for the advice, I don't have a problem with inserting them, I just had to get use to inserting a CIEM as I have never had prior experience.  But after a few days of use I am getting the hang of it and I can insert each in one smooth motion.

Any classical music lovers out there? How are you getting along with Adel?

Amazing. Simply amazing.

I don't listen to much Classical, but I have run her through some of the HD stuff I have. The soundstage and air afford to these IEMs by the ADEL tech is exactly what you want for live classical recordings.

The transparency, airiness, depth, imaging and separation provided a good sense of naturalness. I felt speed was one department where it did not score well but for the type of classical I listen to, speed is not of essence so it kinda worked well for me. The strings lacked a bit of weight and extension. Overall it worked really well. My impressions are based off of the A10 I owned btw.

IMO, a very solid choice..I listen to a lot of solo piano music and the highs can be brittle or piercing with some IEM's....never so with my A6. If you crave bright treble / extreme sparkle, look elsewhere. But for balanced, fluid, fatigue-free and highly musical classical
keyboard sound, A6 are a treat.

I also enjoy chamber music, and recently listened to a Beethoven String Quartet with my A6 running balanced. Instrument separation and spatial placement was surreal, and viloins sound sweetly robust but never piercing.

Orchestral music hasn't wowed me as much. Perhaps the very dense or complex passages sound a bit muddied but note I use (and very much like) the much-maligned S1 module, as I appreciate the isolation and it works great for a hint of dark warmth in intimate solo instrumental or chamber music. Possibly B1 module or MAM would be better suited for orchestral music.

Hope that helps.

Also on another note, I've bought the AK100 (original version) with a 22ohm output impedance, and the U12 seem to come alive with it. They sound just terrific! The veil that I was hearing with the Gloveaudio A1+AK100 (output impedance on the A1 is 0.5ohm) is completely gone. I also tried the UE adapter on the A1+AK100, and it seemed to sound much better than directly out of the A1+AK100, but straight out of the AK100 the pairing with U12 is just exceptional. So yes, pairing the U12 with a high output impedance source yields very good results.

Interesting. Is there any other DAP with high output impendance? I might have to hunt for an AK100 if that's the only one... hmm

What cables are you using there? Looks sweet. I am looking for a cable to darken the sound slightly. I feel its currently slightly too lean although am learning to enjoy it.

Anything cables to brighten the sound of the A12? A few people have tried Norne Therium, I guess that's a good one? Any other silver cable I should be aware of?

If anyone is interested, 64 Audio is running a weekend special on the APEX m20 module.

Awesome. I might do that. Maybe too good not to.

How do folk like the new M20 APEX? Does it still breathe like the ADEL module? Is the pneumatic pressure escaping like it ought to? You should be able to feel it if it's working. I know I do. With the B1, my U12 does not feel like other IEMs. It feels a little like open-back over-ears.
