I really recommend Phantom Requiem for Gungrave(first ep is on purpose one that happens later in the series, the second episode is the 'real' first ep)
 
But seriously. those two for action dark fans are very good. I prefered them over FZ personally

Chaos Head anime was awful, avoid at all costs. Play the VN.
 

There is always the Higurashi VN coming to steam, fantastic for the whole family. Heartwarming and touching anime also. Not to be missed!
 
Finished s2 of Yuru Yuri with my lack of kancolle tonight. Starting the ova and it is off to a great start.

Any anime recommendations for dark animes? I liked F/Z > F/SN, Knights of Sidonia and Harlock Space Pirate on Netflix was great, Psycho Pass gets a thumbs up, loved Ergo Proxy.. I guess I should just watch Durarara!! or Monogatari or something in the meantime.

Btw, Steins;Gate is on Netflix (USA) too, if you haven't you should reallyyyy watch it.

Hmmm some that I can recommend:

Serial Experiments Lain (awesome but not for everyone)
Haibane Renmei (because really depressing)
Kara no Kyoukai (awesome except for one or two movies)
Shinsekai yori (one hell of a show with some visual problems)
Paranoia Agent (not really dark but pretty creepy here and there)
Evangelion (goes without saying)
Boogiepop Phantom (similar to Lain but more streamlined)
Ghost Hunt (creeeeeeepy)
Mononoke (looks fuggin amazing and is creepy as heck)
