I think that's RAID 1 you're talking about, or data mirroring (a file is written onto both drive A and B simultaneously), so one drive can fail and all data is retained...RAID 0 is where data is striped across two drives (half of the file is written onto drive A, the other half onto drive B simultaneously), so the R/W load is distributed across two drives. If one drive fails, all data is lost![]()
I'm pretty sure that's what I typed. Guess sleep deprivation is probably getting to me, probably need sleep now considering it's 3:30 in the morning.
I think so, I read " input information equally in both drives" as both drives have the same information written to them, hence mirroring, but you probably meant both drives have equal amounts of a file written to them, thereby leveling wear.
