Japanese pronunciation of words that have deep lingual roots in Chinese is just terrible.
 
The words 3 and 4 in Japanese are pretty much pronounced as they are in Chinese. The pronuncation for the word 3 in Japanese is pretty much exactly that in Chinese
 
But holy schiit, the pronunciation of the word 4 is terrible. It's like an English/Western speaker trying to say the word which is 'shi' but without realizing this thing called accents. 
 
Another one would be in cowboy bebop in ep 1 I believe when they are talking about Qing Chao Ro Su. Their pronuncation of ro su is literally as it is spelt in English...without any awareness of accents.
 
So now it beggets me to wonder. Why this is? Kanji is especially prevelant in Japanese such that most Chinese that can read Chinese can read Japanese newspapers. Japan pretty much adopted the Chinese system in the past and incorporated it into their own except why is it...that the accents weren't? It just boggles my mind when I hear words that are similar in Chinese but comming out sounding like they said it with a western take on it.

Ah I see. Is there any way to know if the item is used or not? I'm guessing those keyboards are new. The sale going on right now is really tempting. White keyboard with green or white LEDs, or black keyboard with green or white LEDs. White keyboards are quite rare from what I've seen, as are white LEDs. Likewise for green or white LEDs.

Great plan! I have so thought about doing this stuff. But the big problem is that the selection is still only mediocre. Funimation has some show and CR has the others.

I don't want this stuff being split between 2 services.

I don't mind paying the $3.3 per month....granting that they actually have shows that I want...which honestly....is something that they don't.

It's a paradox sadly. Since they don't have it. I don't support them..and they don't make money so they don't have the shows and the cycle repeats.

Great plan! I have so thought about doing this stuff. But the big problem is that the selection is still only mediocre. Funimation has some show and CR has the others.

So during the Tang dynasty and in Japan the Nara and early Heian period there were lots of people in Japan going to China to come back with literature, art and Buddhist teachings. The Japanese modeled their government after that of the Tang dynasty, and tried to adopt the same values and copied their literature even. Back then it was 'hip' for the higher class to speak Chinese and to learn all sorts of Chinese teachings. However slowly people wanted to not only write Chinese but also Japanese, so they came up with a writing system based on Chinese characters. That system was basically Chinese but with Japanese pronunciation, Japan still had its own language no matter how cool people thought the Tang dudes were. The system slowly changed, when they used Chinese characters to write down Japanese they either used the Chinese character for its meaning, or for the fact that it's pronunciation in Chinese approximates something in Japanese. This is perhaps also the reason why Japanese characters can have tons of readings, why in Chinese they almost always have only one.
Then the system slowly transformed first with the addition of hiragana (and katakana) and instead of using Chinese grammatical order they used the standard Japanese one, and by mid Heian period (about 900 AD) they virtually only used the Japanese writing system. However the pronunciation of characters still wasn't clearly defined, and while the contact with China diminished, the influence still stayed. So in short they based their writing system on that of the Chinese, but from very early time onward they didn't base they threw in their own pronunciation. It was merely influenced by the Chinese heavily.

Plus, remember kids. This was over 1000 years ago. Languages change.

I've been noticing this, but A-1 Pictures has been a studio that has been producing some of the best animated airing series of the last half year ....continuously.
Their current aring anime are:

1. Idomaster Cinderella Girls
2. Aldnoah Zero (continuing)
3. Fairy tail (continuing)
4. Your Lie in April (contiuing)
5. Magic Kaito (continuing)
6. Sword Art Online 2 (continuing)

and soon to be airing this week

1. Seven Deadly Sins
2. Saekano
3. Gunslinger Stratos

They have about 120 employees.

KyoAni, a company known for animation fideltiy, for comparison has over 150 and has only worked on Amagi Brilliant Park last season. Decently animated but nothing overly done.

Sunrise, another animation workhorse of years past, currently has CrossAnge, Gundam Build Fighters, Gundam G Recon and past season of Buddy Complex and Love Live. All of these series featuring pretty lackluster animation despite Sunrise have multiple studio workhorses and the largest group of any.

P.A Works has 90 employees and worked on the great looking Glasslip last season and only on Shirobako this season and continuing with decent visual fidelity.

How the heck, is A-1 Pictures, with only [125 employees], (http://a1p.jp/contents/recruit/2014jobposting.pdf[1] ) able to do this?

They are producing 8 works at the moment with around the same employees as the other studios many of which are producing only 1 or 2. And at the same time, producing animation fidelity that is pretty much out of this world. What is going on?

I have seen the animation in all of their currently airing anime. Idolmaster, Aldnoah Zero, Your Lie in April represent some of the most gorgeous anime currently airing while Fairy Tale, SAO, and Kaito are all above average (Kaito a bit less).
