According to leo.org which is a better German translator, it is legit but you can also say die Pille but the one in reddit is wrong grammatically since it doesn't end with an "n" for the plural.

Looking it up, it seems the only other highest honour awarded was to Goring, president of the Reichstag, but that guy isn't alive anymore so I guess he doesn't count

What is with the 'iron cross' though? It's a symbol that has lasted, and become the primary military symbol of Germany for the last 100+ years and is still in use today. 
 
What is the association of the German populace with it today? Is it positive or negative, is there nationalism with it? Or has it been reduced to one of just a regal symbol without much 'power' in it.

Sadly, it was a false alarm. The sub was kinda old, and while there were some modifications registered, it probably were just some kind of periodical maintenance, since the same was with some removed games, like Stalin vs. Martians.

Only skimmed through the first page before posting it here and missed it... :-/
