Am I really supposed to learn around 2000 Kanji + 50 Katakana and 50 Hiragana symbols to be ready to tackle the Japanese grammar?
How?

You also need to learn those which has a ' or '' on the symbols...... copy-books will help.....

What danboard needs is some headphones

This is a doodle I used to do a long long time ago, that Danboard reminds me of

Freaking me out....

yeah the tools are a must if you don't want to scratch up the case.

and you might be able to piece together all that, the case, jack and battery for cheaper....I don't know.   sometimes you can, sometimes you cant.

also, unless the battery is old and not holding charge like it used to....I wouldn't change it.  Aftermarket batteries tend to not work as well as oem batteries.

I know. It's just that all the classified with a back case also include a free battery. And I think for <20 bucks total it's not really that bad.

Then again some more searching revealed you can get opening tools + jack for about $3-4 shipped.

Edit: Nevermind, thats for the 6th gen nano. Wasn't paying attention.

I found this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Headphone-Audio-Jack-for-iPod-Classic-6-6th-80GB-Free-7-Tools-US-/380683916340?pt=US_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item58a2879434

It does not include a hold switch, but I can just use my own, right? And it seems all the 6/7th gen iPods share the same audio jack, but I'll check this just to be absolutely sure.

I already found some great websites for this, thanks :)

Katagana and Hiragana don't look thaaaaat hard. But all these kanji symbols? :/

Wow, really?
That makes me a bit more confident :D

Kanji is basically part of vocab, sometimes books will include furigana in smaller font, sometimes not though. By the way, a term as combination of multiple kanji together can lead to completely different pronounces or even meanings as one might expect from the individual kanji(s).

Actually I think grammar is something to get used to, instead of to learn, just like everyone did with their native language.

Lol sorry, I was just nitpicking. I think this video is a lot better than some of your previous ones!

Eh, seriously? Tell them to get lost and stay with iPodz if they say stuff like that! :D

Yes, and the X5's heart button lets people like and fav your videos, right? :p

That's not the only time it's laggy unfortunately.

Really? I liked my other ones more

The general audience is like this. Gotta cater to them

Need more likes and hearts on my vids :)

Moving up more and more in the audio world, need more likes and subs :D

Wow, what a d1ck move Microsoft...
In order to use the awesome Metro version of Internet Exploder, you have to set IE as your default browser... =_=

lol

Yup, I know you're moving up, that's why I'm being more critical of your videos than usual

Un-Official Review is up

This review has been edited with the help of two people. Kalbee and mr. Trololol.

I'll be doing some formating and adding pics to make it a final official review tomorrow or Monday.

This is only so I can 'say' the review is up etc.

Again, much better than some of your previous writeups! Bravo!

I could edit it too but I won't have the free time to do so until probably Wednesday night.

Yea :frowning2:

The specs of the X5 are pretty amazing, but like most audiophile DAP's, efficency, and software can only go so far

http://www.fiio.com.cn/products/index.aspx?ID=100000055517771

Open the page, walk away 5 mins later for the page to fully load btw.

I'm planning to make a DAP sometime in 2015.... :p
After my next portable amp and desktop DAC/Amp

It really makes me wonder... how they managed to do so bad on the UI with such a fast CPU???
The Software engineering team must be paid minimum wage or something....

Oh gosh... Yes Please Boris!

My suggestion is the same as always though: get android on it and try and negotiate some sort of license to include Poweramp on the device. Bam, UI is screwing done.

I might be sucking at the Golden Ears test, but I'm learning a ton... Nice! I could say that it will be time well spent.

Indeed, you can learn quite a bit from it!

Danboard dai kazuku~~:D

Massive danboard bought today

Whoa, nice!!!

I've opened my iPod (7th gen/6th gen rev. 2/Classic 2nd gen) up twice - once to replace the hard drive, and the second to replace the LCD. The chrome housing looks pretty deformed and doesn't click into place at some places, but it works. I actually got the iPod for free; it had a dead hard drive and dead LCD backlight, and a friend said it wasn't worth fixing. So I got a hard drive for $86, dealt with the backlight-less LCD for about 6 months then finally got around to buying an LCD for $14.

That makes the total exactly $100!

Hmm, I guess in that case it's probably worth the try to open it up and replace the part.

Is there a difference between the jack for the 5th gen iPod and the 6th gen? (I have a 6th gen 120GB version).

I don't think so, can't say for sure exactly though without pulling both apart again though... There wasn't a difference between the batteries for what it's worth.

Well how about this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/iPod-Classic-6th-120gb-Back-cover-headphone-jack-battery-assymbly-/300879966605?pt=US_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item460dd7f18d

Even if I destroy the back cover, I can just install a new one. Plus there's a replacement battery that may always come in handy.

I do need the special opening tools right?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/iPhone-Full-Opening-screwdriver-Tools-Kit-Set-AW-for-Apple-4S-4-iPod-Touch-4G-/261175457585?pt=US_Cell_Phone_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item3ccf453731

That should be all you need. Do try and get a metal prying tool though, those plastic ones disintegrate in a few minutes.

Aftermarket batteries tend to not work as well as oem batteries.

This plus 1000.

Welp, either I got lucky or that's not the case, because my Classic's aftermarket battery still has plenty of life in it a year and a half after I've replaced it.

I agree with this completely, but not at the very start. You should learn very basic grammar and get to reading as soon as possible. But without understanding elementary grammar reading will be really difficult.

No, the hold switch and headphone jack share the same cable. It's better to replace both.
Also, I would highly recommend getting a replacement back cover while you're at it in case you destroy the back when taking it apart.

How do you play VN/Eroges on a Mac?

On a PC I would just download the ISO file and then use Daemon to read it.

Yeah, some aftermarket batteries do work well and have a pretty good reputation (anker, ravpower) but a lot of chinese knockoff batteries have little to none QC.  Some will work fine but some will be crap, its a hit or miss.  More miss than hit from my experience.

I think you have to use a Windows emulator like bootcamp...

Even though I ordered mine from America, I'm pretty sure it was a cheap Chinese knockoff someone in America was selling. :p
