I suppose you have a point. But my computer is "end-game" in the fact that I won't need to upgrade it until I'm a few years into my twenties, which is a long, long time away.

Probably because not a whole lot of people even have equipment that will play it back, and the fact that it sucks up tons and tons of bandwidth compared to other files and therefore costs far more to host.

Nisemonogatari.

Toothbrush.

.....

Good Lord.

WELCOME, GUEST, TO THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF SHAFT!!

Anybody here played C&C Red Alert 3 Uprising?

Menu theme song is pretty awesome.

I did. Have to say, while it's way more different than C&C of yore, it's actually quite fun. TOO BAD EA FKED IT UP FOREVER WHEN THEY BOUGHT WESTWOOD! And Petroglyph is no better too. So much for ex-Westwood guys being good. At least Empire at War: Earth Assault isn't too bad; actually love it.

Anyone wondered why so many anime soundtracks/songs aren't released in 24/192? I'd like to know :xf_eek:

Because:

  1. You don't need a bit depth of 24: http://www.head-fi.org/t/415361/24bit-vs-16bit-the-myth-exploded
  2. You don't need a sampling rate more than 48 kHz and 192 kHz is probably detrimental: http://xiph.org/~xiphmont/demo/neil-young.html
  3. Most consumer DACs can't even play back music with a sampling rate of 192 kHz
  4. Most anisong is poorly mastered such that 24/192 would be completely unnecessary apart from the points above

Lol. No computer is ever an "end-game" since they're always outdated in less than a year, and you'll probably want to upgrade it within the next 5 years...

AMD is also the cost leader by far in getting cards used. I got two Gigabyte HD 7970 Ghz Editions on eBay for $230 a pop.

Speaking of, I also just finished my end-game computer build. I'll post pics at some point if anyone is interested.

Sure :) pics

Mmm, really I think Nami-chan's back in business. Best mod I've done so far. Too bad I don't have a measuring kit of any kind, I didn't take a measurement of the previous mod, have no stock version, etc.

Ami Nami :)

What mod this time to the T50?

Fixed it for you.

Yeah, basically. But as long as you don't buy a **** computer now, it should last you a few years. I probably won't need to upgrade my CPU or RAM for at least 3 years. Don't quote me on that though...

Nice. What are the specs on it?

Because that would be a waste?

Got this song stuck in my head these few days....

Sorry, this more "stuck power" in my head than that song...

Are you sure that's enough RAM though? XP

Honestly, anything past 4GB of RAM at this present moment is overkill for a gaming rig. The lion's share of games right now are 32-bit, which means they cannot use more than 3GB of RAM, no matter what. This is going to change right around the corner, but even still, I doubt I will ever need more than the 8GB of RAM I have for the foreseeable future.
