Electronic music:

Hanasoumen-P (鼻そうめんP) or Hiro Kanzaki (かんざきひろ Kanzaki Hiro) is a known composer, and professional illustrator. He is also a professional Trance/Progressive music artist recognized internationally by the pseudonym of Hiroyuki ODA. http://vocadb.net/Artist/Details/175

He's also a professional illustrator who did the character designs for OreImo (recognize the green octopus above?). Supposedly also is an animator for BONES.

Nice Silhouette. I own one too. Really light and comfy.

I had one of their really old ones that was just bends. Turns out I've grown in the 6 years or so since I last wore them, they were too short for me, so I ended up having to get new frames for them. They're not too light since I got pretty much every addon and have a rather heavy prescription.

Well the HE-500 needs some power. Not as much as the HE-6 but still a sizeable amount to reach its full potential. A minimum of 2 Watts is what's needed to bring its true colours. 1 Watt and below is plentiful but might not bring the dynamics that the HE-500 is capable of. I have tried my HE-500 on a Bakoon Products HDA-5210 mk3 amp in which god knows how much power it delivers since spec sheets are nowhere to be found for this amp. But what I do know is, when the switch is at high current and the volume knob at 2.5 out of 10, it delivers dynamism, speed and detail retrieval like no other amplifier can. Which should be expected on a $2000 Japan only amplifier.

2 Watts?
InnerFidelity measured 2.04 mW to get the HE-500 to 90 dB SPL. Even if you were to drive it to 111 dB SPL, it would require 261.12 mW. Maybe I'm doing the wrong calculations?

That's the minimum power required to reach 90 dB SPL. The optimal power needed to fully deliver the dynamism of the HE-500 is more than 1 Watt. Well that's what MalVeuX said here: http://www.head-fi.org/t/623645/anyone-have-experience-with-the-schiit-asgard-and-the-he-500#post_8628644 about the HE-500 paired with the Asgard.
I did notice that when I pair my HE-500 with powerful amps, the sound is much better, more dynamic and more punchy at the low end.

Thanks eve!

That reminds me, do all the Higurashi's have something in common?

So you mean like umineko no naku koro ni?

I guess the most shared aspect they have are insane contortions of the face. Oh and both have lots of murders...well, because it is a mystery genre. Who killed who/what? Etc
