On that topic, where's Lily?

No idea, I miss her.

Now when I went home, I was caught in a massive traffic jam, it literally was a gridlock. The taxi couldn't even budge! So I got off from the taxi and walked home which was a distance of 4 kilometers. That may not sound much but believe me, in Jakarta 4km on foot feels more like 10km with all those bad and uneven pedestrian roads.

Oh BTW, bad news. My Shure SE425 is gone. Either I lost it or somebody stole it. I left it at school but I didn't managed to find it.

That's insanity, the gridlock and the Shure's.

When I was in Cambodia, I saw a scooter with three people collide head on with a van/truck, they all passed away unfortunately. That wasn't a pleasant sight.

Chaotic traffic always scares me.

On a lighter note, I'm going to the liquor store tomorrow, you guys want anything? I'll enjoy it in your stead.

That picture that I took was at an intersection and it was so badly congested that no one was able to move a centimeter. Cars, buses and bikes were blocking the intersection because they couldn't move.
And yes, there are too much scooters and bikes in Jakarta and the way most of them ride them is like they own the road. Total disobedience and absolutely ignorant of any laws imposed on the road.

I do feel sad of my SE425. It served me extremely well.

Lol I can tell, you didn't even say anything about my response to your quote...

Yeah. I was on the brink of the knock out line replying last night

I realize that this is the only thread I've subscribed to that I can get more than 500 updates in a week. Don't know whether to applaud or cry. I've learned not to leave this thread unattended. Can I join you guys again?

Generic shoujo like that doesn't deserve to be spoken in Japanese. Read the manga before it was cool. Such an awfully boring premise. Art slightly redeems it. Actually, no it doesn't.

Now I have a even better idea for your avatar. Back to the..err.. drawing board!

Is that a question? It is in the op to join whenever :)

You cna join us whenever you want :)

lol you have a point.

I dropped it early last season...

[rule]My otouto making comebacks at me with internet slang thinking it's cool....

Can't help but to go uwaaa... kakko warui..... inside. (=_=)

I got one like that thinking his comebacks and pre teen language is cool.

100 unread posts = couldn't be bothered to read all of them.
Anyway, 2 days ago I checked in to Jaben and auditioned the Beyer Custom One Pro which honestly, I thought it was a bit mediocre. The bass switching works though from "where is it?" to "OMG!!!! TOOO MUUUUCCHHHH". Mids were withdrawn and not very detailed for a Beyer can.
Also tried the Flat-4 Sui IEM which I was very surprised because I thought it was going to be very bassy and dark. In fact, it was the polar opposite. Very, very piercing, almost too much. But at least, it did have some weight in the low end.
Tried the MDR-1R with a custom cable which made the bass much more controlled and made the sound more balanced. I like it!
Then, I tried the fabled Muramasa VIII which honestly, I was more annoyed by its weight and sheer discomfort rather than its price and sound. I couldn't wear it with my glasses. Sound wise though: very clean, analytical and neutral, smooth treble, overall quite an inspiring sound but really, not as exciting as the Stax but that discomfortness, it's more of a show piece than a headphone.

Wow tht is worse congestion than NYC.

Well obviously. It isn't intended to match their higher end cans.

I want to hear those MDR-1R's...

LOL. I have never seen a traffic jam that bad.

Not sure what I'm supposed to eat for lunch. Both my parents are gone and my sister is at her friend's house. There's only some ramen in flavors I can't even read and some crappy macaroni and cheese.

IMHO, the MDR-1R is only worth it if you're willing to spend a bit more on an aftermarket cable. It really does make a difference. I tried it with the stock cable and was left a bit unimpressed because I felt that it was missing a bit of treble and bass impact was, well not very impactful. With the aftermarket cable (Mogami Neglex Quad Microphone 24AWG Cable IIRC), the bass was much more controlled, more impact and mids and treble were a bit more accentuated.
If you don't want to spend money on aftermarket cables, buy the Momentum but try it first and see if it'll fit. I tried it and was surprised that it was smaller than it looked on pictures. The SQ of the Momentum was very good.

I'll stay my mouth and zip it good about cables...

I'm all hands up when it comes to arguing about the difference of cables.
It's all subjective. Personally, I hear a difference so I keep my opinion to myself. But best way to know if it's placebo or not is just test it for yourself.
Although the Mogami cable that I tested for the MDR-1R is definitively a huge upgrade in durability and build quality. Stock cable feels a bit flimsy to me.

Personally so far, the stock cable of the T50RP and the VModa cable doesn't do jack **** to sound, and only to ergonomics. I don't see any reason to go out of my way to test out more using my own money. A chance to try it not from my money, so that I don't feel like I have to get my worth out of the purchase of some miracle cable, sure I'll take any chance to try and A/B some cables. Provided that I don't have to spend any money on it, so that there's no justification bias on my part.

Lets just agree to disagree for now, since I also disagree with your assessment that the Beyer T1 is good, which IMO is utter **** because it's a Knives of Doom treble dispenser, even with a tube amp.

I don't believe in cables yet but I've never done any AB stuff. It just doesn't make much sense to me. The only guy I knew who was deep into cables only liked them for because they are much easier to fold(he had the fabricy cables).

I never said the T1 is good... Ok maybe I did say that but what I truly meant is that it's just an upgraded DT880 punkt schluss. Although I forgot which amp I tested the T1 with. That could have changed my perception on the sound a bit. Or maybe I'm just a bit of a treble head so I'm not as sensitive as your ears.
