As far as I'm concerned, as long as two items can be proved to be perceptibly sonically different, it's fair game to prefer whichever one pleases you. My only insistence is that one should not pay thousands for something that's perceptually the same as what you started with. Does that make me an extremist?
Speak for yourself. There's lots of other objectivists that acts the same as the subjectivists, only for a different deity. Only instead of some mythical nirvana that can be achieved by spending thousands on magical metal-filled hoses and rocks, it's blind faith in Science.
There are others that blindly parrots a certain person with an infectious commanding personality without doing their own limited research, and just would never even want to try anything that comes their way when the chance comes. Sure I won't get out of my way and starve just to get some mystical cables and this legendary headphones, but if the chance do came, I still would try it, just to see what's all the Placebo Pill is about. Even up until now, I would still tread carefully when I'm about to show measurements to someone, since I myself have not fully understand it, let alone going on about an preaching about it to others. That would just make me an ignorant parrot.
The only 'objectivists' that I would trust fully right now are the ones that can balance their presentation of objectivity and subjectivity.
