Boris, ca you explain the 12 V Positive Fixed Regulator? In the side note, he noted that : LM7812ACT(MC7809 optional for AC only)
Can you explain what he meant? Do I need to get booth or what? I'm going to power this using batt and AC

I'M QUALIFIED TO ANSWER THIS QUESTION!

Nah you can get just the 7812.

Darn it... Local store doesn't have the op amp listed... Now I'm missing 1 part and I'm not even done yet.

flatness is justice! (said many anime characters)
I like a little curve, but nothing exaggerated

didn't want to say this but yeah, it kinda does.

flat = less fun sounding (what were you thinking?)

The 7812 is a 12V regulator, and the 7809 is just 9V.

The reason why you don't need the 12V for AC only is because you only need the extra voltage for the battery charging circuit~

Yeah, but why would you want 9V anyway? 12V gives you more headroom for gain.

I think I got it. So it means 12V is for Charging the batt and to power the O2 up while the 9V only power the O2 up but doesn't charge the batt.

OK. Got it. Thanks!

Love is expensive in many ways.

BTW, for the same O2 part I mentioned earlier, I can find a 19V. There are others that uses 12V but the part numbers are a bit different, not to mention the case of it

Just stick to the recommended part, sunshine.

Any 7812 will do, just make sure the casing is the same, not some surface mount shizzlewizzle.
