Aww sweet. I'm probably going to build my AX panel/event schedule today. There's so many to go through though. XD

[rule]
I got a Sony DAV-HDX589W receiver from Goodwill for a mere $2.

it plays SACDs!

I took the cover off to see if I can find what kind of DAC chip it's using for the DSD audio....I have no idea what these two chips do. deadlylover, akiroz, or Joe Bloggs can you see what IC parts would decode the DSD signals? I think it's the giant SONY IC (CXD9927R).

to the right of it: S-Master CXD9788AR http://pdf1.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/view/94275/ETC/CXD9450.html (not the correct data sheet, but I figured it would be similar)

It's a dayum shame that Sony decided to use their schiity proprietary connectors for the speaker outputs, and they included no other audio only output option other than headphone.

Good to hear. If you don't already have Acrobat, don't bother, it's $$$ and not worth it just for this.

yea the Timing couldn't be better honestly

my V10 just went belly up as a DAP, the last couple of Updates for Neutron have been REALLY pissing of the HifiDAC fix [mod/app] I have installed and it likes to crash a lot now :/

an believe it or not my RockBoxed HM601 sounds better [with the same headphone and the same Graphical EQ settigns] though tbh that's most likely due to how metallic my HD 25-1 sounds, either way with my HM 601 replacing my V10 and iPod as my on the go music source, the V10 can now have it's massive storage space dedicated to PDF Comics!!! YAY :D plus work's getting kinda dead... all my customers are more or less sucked dry so... well I've got a little more time for phone comics [plus it's way better than wasting time on imgur all day long]

Oh god.... I instinctively typed "schiit" when I want to say "sh.it" in other chats and my friends were like "wha...?"

look what head-fi has done to me....

"Sure" as "Shure", "****" as "Schiit".

It's just everyday for me.

Sooo I went and made myself some semi-proper speaker to binaural impulse responses, and am listening to earphones with the resulting processing now. Speaker-class soundstage size out of IEMs is no joke nor dream :D Listening to all my music again for the first time is no cliche :L3000:

How can some of us scholars and gentlemen get in on this action?

After the Somic MH412, I'm a believer.

Works too well on orchestra & marching music. My HD800 became HD800000000
Well, gotta get used to the vocal echo though and since it sounded distant, I had to crank up my volume
