Man they sashimi everything. I'll stick to boiled lobster and skip horse sashimi altogether:D
Basashi isn't that bad actually. I thought it'll be tough but not really. Uni (sea urchin) OTOH, no thanks.

Did you try shirako (fish sperm)? That was...interesting.

I did get treated to a Fugu sashimi+grilled+skin set dinner and commented that it tasted like rubber. Had no idea it was so expensive and prepared by licensed chef's  so it's stupid expensive.
A kinda faux pas that makes the folks treating you laugh with a polite go eat a cheeseburger white boy!! vibe

I spent ten days in Myrtle Beach in mid August a few years ago.........thought playing golf was a good idea. Nope. 98* and 95% humidity by noon and I was in the ocean.

exactly, factor in the insane amount of body heat all those tourists give off an yea... wet blanket season is like 5 months long now

So I took a subway in Tokyo to meet my friends at night. At exactly 11:30pm, it stopped at the next station, the conductor comes around saying something in Japanese which I don't understand. It meant 11:30pm, get off the subway train. So I get off and walk.

Lucky some cop didn't stop you randomly to ask if you had your Gaijin card. They have the right and if you don't have it your night can be worse than a long walk

I like the packaged octopus and squid snacks. And the vending machines, they're everywhere on the sidewalks. From cigarettes, beer to even clothes.
