- Very convenient and easy to use across Android and Apple devices.
- Excellent ANC feature for its asking price.
- Very responsive touch controls.
- Connects quickly and with ease to all smartphones and laptops I’ve tested.
- Decent transparency and gaming mode.
- Has IPX5 rain and sweat-proof certification.
- Clear and very good mic quality for a TWS.
- Very good battery life.
- Well-done fit and isolation, very grippy yet comfortable.
- Compact and minimal design.
- Sturdy, matte finished- TWS IEMs and charging case
Cons: - Gaming mode still has a fair amount of 0.5 second delay, specifically on FPS games.
- Lack of wireless charging support may not please some people.
- Lacks a specific gesture or a “back button” to go to the previous track played.
- Soft, laid-back sound signature may not please people who asks for more engaging and treble extension (subjective)
- A carrying or silicone case for the charging case would be a treat for everybody (my nitpick, also subjective)

Soundpeats Air 3 Pro Review!

Video review here!: https://youtu.be/ju6IWL742RM

Good day! After a week of casual and critical usage, here’s my written review for the Soundpeats Air 3 Pro. Spoiled with convenience!

Disclaimer:
  • Soundpeats sent this unit to me in an exchange for an honest, unbiased review. Rest assured that this review will be free from any bias/es as much as possible.

=========================================================================================================
Usage time: 5-10 hours per day, 5 days.

Source/s used:
  • Hidizs AP80
  • Non-HiFi smartphone (Infinix Note 12 G96, Samsung Galaxy A6 (2018))
  • Local and streaming files via UAPP, HibyMusic, YouTube Music, Spotify, Qobuz.

IEM/Earbud/Setup configuration: Stock medium eartips, any form of EQ or MSEB off, 40-60% volume. All modes were used and evaluated.
=============================================================================================================

Packaging and setup:
  • The packaging here is very minimal. You’ll get the TWS earphones themselves inside the charging case, spare eartips, usb type-c cable, and a manual inside a fairly compact box. A carrying or a silicone case would’ve been a treat for it despite it having a sturdy, rubbery matte finish in my opinion, but it is completely fine because the texture of both charging case and the IEMs themselves are matte and rubbery as I have said.

Fit and comfort:
  • The Soundpeats Air 3 Pro is very lightweight and comfortable to my ears. I have used these during my morning bicycle sessions and commutes. It never caused any discomfort nor fell out of my ears.

Connectivity:
  • Due to it having the latest Bluetooth QCC3046 chipset, I did not have any issues with the connectivity regardless of what smartphone or laptop device I use because it is very quick in connecting once you open the charging case and Bluetooth on your smartphone device. It is also very consistent in terms of connection as it still has a good connection to my phone 15 meters away.

Call and Mic quality:
  • Call and mic quality here is very good and clear for a TWS earphone. Voices from my end were clear and very understandable according to those who I have called.

Features:
  • The touch controls on the Air 3 Pro are very responsive and do not have a noticeable delay. It is also quite easy to remember and is included in the manual. However, there is no back gesture or button indicated for me to use, which may be an important function for some. The ANC feature is what I really love the most as it really blocked a huge amount of ambient noise in my environment when turned on. I did not hear my fingers snapping, my whirring electric fan, and some people talking in the background when the ANC Mode turned on. Transparency mode is also decent and is greatly used during my bicycle sessions to keep things safe. Gaming mode is also decent despite having a half second delay whenever I press fire during my FPS game sessions such as Call Of Duty Mobile and Valorant. However, this isn’t the case on most of my usage times such as watching movies, podcasts, or even listening to music even with the Gaming Mode turned off. It is very responsive for the most part.

Sound Signature and Quality:
  • The Soundpeats Air 3 Pro is a laid-back, smooth-sounding, balanced-warm-sounding IEM. The overall sound leans to a more thick, slightly soft, and non-fatiguing sound. Bass is elevated but not too much and is thick. The mids and highs are also thick and warm. I however wish for a little bit of extension on the treble. It isn’t rolled off by any means but it may lack energy whenever the cymbals splash and crash. However, the Air 3 Pro greatly avoided any harshness or sibilance. I comfortably used these for 5 hours straight without any fatigue. Technical performance is also decent and can render layering and imaging well on most tracks and some EDM.

Battery Life:
  • Battery life here took me a decent 6-7 hours at most during continuous usage. Charging it inside the case took me just an hour to use it again. Charging the case itself took me about an hour and a half for it to be fully charged with the including charging cable and a 1A power brick I personally own since this does not support wireless charging.

Verdict
The Soundpeats Air 3 Pro is what I would call the “Airpods but for Android users” as it is very convenient, responsive, and feature packed for 60USD. Its ANC feature is one of the best so far I have experienced coming from a TWS based on what I personally heard at this price. It is nearly as effective and as good as what the bigger companies offer, it’s just that this is almost 3x cheaper. I highly recommend this Air 3 Pro for those people who are looking for a very easy to use, feature packed, decent sounding TWS with very good ANC and Transparency mode for 60 USD.
