QKZ DM7

QKZ is a well known Chinese brand producing earphones. Since they offer a wide range of earphones, they are well represented in the amount of models they offer. Most of the models are budget earphones. Since some time they are also bringing more expensive models on the market, like hybrid earphones. The QKZ DM7 is not an expensive model, but the unique and cool design triggered my interest. My expectations of the QKZ DM7 where low, since I got a few earphones of the QKZ which never impressed me. However, after listening to the QKZ DM7, I really got surprised by the excellent sound quality they produce! I found some new daily drivers.

Sound
The first impression of the sound quality by QKZ DM7 is the great balance in the frequencies and details it produces. The different frequencies are great represented in a equal way, which makes the music sound well balanced. Besides to the sound quality, the QKZ DM7 are really loud! These are one of the loudest earphones I currently own, which makes them easily driving by your phone. The bass is really punchy and detailed without the costs of the mid’s. The bass is tight and got some nice sub-bass. The mid’s are of amazing quality, especially the high mid’s are able to produce crystal clear vocals that really detailed. As opposite to other popular earphones, these do not contain the bright signature, due to the balance of the frequencies. This makes the QKZ DM7 really pleasant listening. The high’s are crispy and not edgy, and really well dosed without being too much in the front stage. I got really impressed by the amazing sound quality the QKZ DM7 offers for not even $7!

Design & Build Quality
The design of the QKZ DM7 was the main trigger for me buying this pair of earphones. The earbuds are manufactured of zinc alloy material, which provides the earphones a premium look and feel. The “M” on the side of the earphones, reminds me of the Majin Buu of Dragonball Z! Since I’m a Dragonball Z fan, I think this looks awesome! As in Dragonball Z, the Majin spell enabled superior powers, it seems superior powers of the QKZ DM7 also got unlocked by the Majin spell! The cable and other components are also of good build quality. Something you wouldn’t expect of a earphone of this low price. Overall, great design and build quality.

Comfort
The QKZ DM7 are small and light, which makes them easily fitting in your ears. They are fitting comfortable and secure. There are small, medium and large eartips delivered with the QKZ DM7, which are of good quality. There is no need for me to change the original eartips. The well balanced sound, also makes the sound comfortable for longer listening sessions.

Conclusion
I am really amazed by the quality QKZ delivered with the QKZ DM7 earphones. The sound quality is great and well balanced. The QKZ DM7 are producing amazing mid’s and upper mid’s, which enables vocals to be crystal clear. The build quality is premium and far above expectations for this price. Is the “M” logo on the side of the QKZ DM7 earbuds really standing for Majin curse of Dragonball Z, which enables superior powers?! The QKZ DM7 are currently my new favorite earphones and used as daily drivers. They contain the whole package, sound quality, premium build quality, comfort and an awesome design!
