Pros: Sound quality
Cons: Build quality, quality control, warranty, customer service
Sound is on par with Shure products at similar prices. (I prefer the Shure sound but their latest offerings aren't too comfortable in my ears). So that's a glowing review on the audio from me.
But the Re-600 formed a short near the headphone jack real quick, then cable started pushing itself out of the fabric jacket in another spot (I take good care & don't abuse headphones). The company was quite rude to me & did not honor the warranty due to some weird fine print. Inexcusable, I will never consider another product from this company. They brought no joy to my life.

2. Why are rating the product half a star when it is the company you are angry with?

I am sorry to quote you bro. We are both iFi fans I think :)

If a company does not respond or take care of the customer which will only happen if there is an issue...it seems some.. like myself will turn that back on the seller. If it was real and they didn't try to take care of him (we can't know what actually happened) it would be reasonable to not expect a consumer to leave that out. Companies like iFi and others should get that extra star love if the item is good and the company stands behind it IMO so the inverse should happen too.

Some items seem to be lemons and this model seems to fit that profile

I hate hearing about companies dropping the customer service ball like this. Being so focused on not losing the margin on the defective product loses the far more valuable customer and has negative PR effects to make things worse. Stupid, if the product fails you replace it and make the customer happy.

Without transaction details we can't know if it is the seller or HifiMan that was the problem here. There are folks selling gray market goods (which never have a warranty) and convincing fakes of goods all over the internet. There is so little detail in the review that a conclusion can't be reached.

Pros: seal, cables
Cons: comfort
I like these more than my Monster Turbines. Less good than the Shure e4c, different price point I know. They're more difficult to insert than the average IEM. Other users seem to find them comfortable enough but not me, not at all. Extended listening gives me a bit of pain. The ear tips are fantastic, it's the phones themselves & how they angle into my ear plus the cable. Initially I wanted to replace my broke e4cs with a current $300ish Shure IEM, I'm glad I picked these up so I know not to go with the current Shure designs on the pricier models. The sound is good but I've never "loved" these headphones like I have others in the past.
Being disappointed with three well reviewed $100ish IEMs (Turbines, SE215 & Bose IE2), I might save for pricier IEMs and stick with "out-ear" when there's only $100 in my pocket.

Nothing wrong with the comfort, for me its a nobrainer, you cant find many iEMs that you can use in your sleep, but you can that with these
and if you can sleep with them on you no matter what side, then its comfortable enough.

Nuff said!

Pros: "fun" bass
Cons: broke
After a six year love affair with a pair of Shure e4cs, they bit the dust & my wallet didn't allow for a similar investment. On my trip to J&R the day before an international flight, they were sold out of the Sure 215's I planned to try out. So I picked up the Turbines.
First out of the box I was greeted with several inner boxes, on my subway ride home a gratuitous pile of cardboard & plastics formed around my feet. What's that you say Turbines? "Life is too short for bad headphones." Did your CEO write that copy? What's with audio gear & embarrassing copy? Oh look, two carry cases, both disgusting.
So let me get this out of the way, within four months they were broke. Apparently this doesn't seem to be the norm so I'll try to hold my hatred at bay.
  1. Bass good. When listening to tracks & genres with great bass these headphones became quite "fun".
  2. Symmetrical buds means you must annoyingly use brain power & eyes to know which ear is left & right.
  3. Broken
I replaced with Shure SE215. Similar price, I like them better, although the Turbine's have superior bass & comfort. But no "love" for either model.
