I highly recommend Dexter Gordon. I have to say he's my favorite sax player right up there with John Coltrane. You should check out his albums GO and One Flight Up -
The Price of CD's!
You mention your taste is a bit esoteric. I have no problem spending upwards of $60 for a single cd...depending on how collectible it may be. It is music after all. And at times...it can prove to be priceless. -
Must Have Cds and SACDs
You mentioned world music so here's my .02. Marino de Rosas -Meridies I discovered this artist by accident and it has become one of my favorite albums. Besides being very beautiful and melodic music, Amiata Records did a fine job recording the album. -
