The LCD-XC sounds like a kitchen radio after TH-900. Let me elaborate...   Once again I´ve been fooled by the Head-Fi so called "professional" impressions and reviews about these headphones, but this time I ain´t bitter. I actually like the LCD-XC! But not for the reasons what people are here...

  Nope you got me wrong. I love the TH900! :) I´m just looking portable closed cans with great sound. :) Momentums were almost it! But too much bass for me.

Otherwise they sounded pretty good to me for the price, but the bloated bass ruined it for me, so I didn´t pull the trigger. Really looking forward hearing the NAD VISO HP50 someday.

Does anyone think Momentum has too much bass?   To me it seemed very very bloated.

Just read that the P7 has some nasty upper mids spike and then rolls of quite early. Really don´t dig that sound. Of course I would need to hear it, but doesn´t sound too good.   The NAD VISO HP50 would seem like the champion. Any impressions?

Thanks for the impressions headed. Very informative!   The Viso HP50 is starting to be even more interesting. I´m actually looking for a bit warmer sound, but maybe not so warm as the HD 650 and LCD-2.

  Thanks for the reply!   I have the AKG 550 and they sound pretty good for the price, but the fit (and comfort) is annoying. So I´m looking for something better in comfort and portability and of course also in sound, which is the most important.

  I don´t think it is. TH-900 are just better in every way. Actually TH-900 is one of my fav headphones and D7000 my least likeable.

  Sorry, but you are dead wrong.   LCD-2/3 are very very soft sounding = not real. Maybe you haven´t ever heard "true sound", that´s why you avoid discussing about flat studio monitors (in a well acoustically treated room). Seems like you just like the sound of LCD-3s, but have no clue about...

  So you say "LCD-3 = natural". What does that exactly mean? Because to me they are far from "natural". I would say they are very "colored". To me high end flat studio monitors are natural. LCD-2/3 is far away from those.
