What are you talking about? All over-ear Audeze headphones have dead neutral bass down to 20Hz.

Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones

Thanks, great info! I believe Neutron Player has PEQ and convolution.

Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones

Plenty of iOS apps support FLAC and I'm pretty sure Apple supports ALAC. I'm streaming FLAC from my web server right now. If Android has system-wide EQ, the Cypher cable is probably redundant. It's just a workaround for Apple limitations.

Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones

Totally agree with this. Does Android have a system-wide EQ, unlike iOS? Would it be possible for you to post your default EQ with the Cipher cable? Does the Cipher just use the ten-band EQ exposed in the Audeze app, or is there more going on (e.g., PEQ)?

    NEW - Schiit Asgard 2

Preamp outs are always variable. Line outputs are fixed.

    TEAC UD-301

That is correct. With the switch on "variable," the Teac will function as a preamp/monitor controller.

Does anyone know the output impedance on the headphone amp?

Is the volume knob aluminum or plastic?  Which potentiometer does this thing use?

What on earth is warm instrument separation?
  17. riverlethe

    Audeze LCD-X

    Yes... Around $600 and $3400.

    = HiFiMAN HE-560 Impressions & Discussion Thread =

This is probably due to equal loudness contours. Music sounds best upwards of 80dB because human perception of "frequency response" starts to level out in that range.

    The Beyerdynamic DT880 Discussion thread

You don't find the 10kHz spike on the DT880's bothersome?

    = HiFiMAN HE-560 Impressions & Discussion Thread =

Interesting, I think it's considered 90dB for eight hours in the US, but we're not known to have the strictest standards.

Audeze's 2016 revamp, re-voiced and re-engineered headphones, the entire line (except Sine and EL8 Ti; these have updates as standard)

Coming from an HD800, I don't see how any Audeze headphone could be characterized as "shrill."
